How to use Position Payout from Bet365 – A new way to bet on the horse racing

bet365 has launched an innovative new feature for horse racing fans called Position Payout, offering a fresh alternative to the traditional win or each-way bet.

Instead of splitting your stake or calculating fractions of the odds, this market lets you place a single bet based on where your horse finishes, whether that’s 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th or beyond, depending on the number of places available.

The appeal of Position Payout lies in its simplicity.

With one fixed stake, you’ll see exactly what your potential return will be based on your horse’s finishing position. There’s no need to work out place odds or double your bet as you would with an each-way wager.

The higher your horse finishes, the more you’ll get back—making it much easier to follow and understand.

You’ll find Position Payout listed alongside each race in the Horse Racing section, and there’s also a dedicated area on the bet365 site for this market.

Racing Expert Pat Cooney comments:

“The brand new way to bet on horse racing, it’s amazing to see bet365 taking such innovative strides with the launch of Position Payout. While sometimes each-way terms can be difficult to understand, Position Payout couldn’t be simpler. The higher your horse finishes, the higher your payout. With prestigious meetings at Goodwood, Galway and York in the coming weeks, we’re excited to see our customers take advantage of our brand new product.”

You can view potential returns either as a monetary value (e.g. to a £10 stake) or as odds multipliers (e.g. 4.5x).

This market is eligible for key promotions including Best Odds Guaranteed, the Odds Drift Protector, and Double Result (both first past the post and official result count). Bet Credits can be used, and Cash Out is available before the race begins.

As with most bet365 markets, standard terms apply.

That includes Rule 4 deductions for non-runners, dead heat rules, and no Position Payout option for antepost bets. If extra each-way places are offered say, six instead of four Position Payout will reflect those same place terms.

Do keep in mind that some offers like Winning Boosts, Bet Boosts, Bet Builders, and Free Bet tokens can’t be used with this market.

Position Payout is designed for bettors who want a clearer, more flexible way to bet on racing. With easy-to-understand returns and no complicated calculations, it’s a great option whether you’re new to the sport or simply prefer a more straightforward betting experience.
