World number one Iga Swiatek has seen a flood of bets in her favour ahead of the 2025 French Open, with most bookmakers now pricing her as short as 10/11 to retain her title in Paris.

Swiatek, who has already won three Roland-Garros titles by the age of 23, enters this year’s tournament off the back of another strong clay campaign. Wins in Stuttgart and Madrid have reaffirmed her dominance on the surface.

“The backing we’ve seen for Swiatek has been relentless,” said a Coral spokesperson. “She is carrying over 45 percent of all outright women’s bets, which is unusually high in such a competitive field.”

Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina are next in the market at 6/1 and 8/1 respectively, but neither has come close to matching Swiatek’s consistency on clay. The Pole’s fitness, mental strength and tactical clarity have set her apart.

Coco Gauff, who reached the final in 2022 and semi-finals in 2024, is priced around 10/1. Her form in lead-up tournaments has been patchy, but she remains a popular pick with younger bettors and US fans.

Punters are also backing Swiatek in the set betting markets, with 2-0 straight-sets victories trading strongly for her opening rounds. Given her previous dominance in early rounds, some firms have begun pricing her wins at reduced odds.

The women’s field remains more open than the men’s, but the gap between Swiatek and her rivals is clear in the betting. With another win, she would cement her legacy as one of the greatest clay-court players of the modern era.

Unless there is a surprise injury or major draw shake-up, Swiatek looks set to continue her Paris reign in 2025.
