Tomorrow

Templegate also has a huge range of in-depth features and analysis on tomorrow’s racing card, which are all accessible from The Sun newspaper online.

Here you can easily find out bookies’ prices for each horse with just a quick click, helping you make informed decisions.

Punchestown Festival

The Punchestown Festival is one of the most well known and intriguing events in the jump racing calender – billed as the Irish version of the famous Festival.

Templegate also includes Cheltenham Festival free bets for punters to use on each race.

The Sun’s Templegate has picked out his best bets and selections at the Punchestown Festival on day four.

In the feature race on day four, the €250,000 JLT Novice Chase, templegate is backing Envoi Allen to continue his unbeaten run.

The six-year-old has won all seven of his starts over fences, including two at Grade One level, and Templegate believes he has what it takes to make it eight out of eight.

In the Grade Three Beginners Chase over two miles and five furlongs, Templegate is backing Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle fifth Tintangle to bounce back from that disappointing run at Cheltenham and get back to winning ways.

NAP tip of the day?

Templegate’s NAP of the day is often featured in the Sun newspaper every morning.

Templegate studies the meetings of the day and you can find a detailed analysis and a bet for each race at each of the major horse racing courses in the UK.

The NAP (which basically relates to Templegate’s best bet of the day) is highlighted in his tipster column.

You can also find the placepot results for today selections online through the Sun Newspaper website.

What Does NB mean?

NB is a term used frequently in horse racing and it refers to ‘Next Best’. It is not the most fancied bet of the day but it should go close.

So you should always take notice of the NB selection by Templegate as this selection should have a good chance of doing well in the race.

What does templegate’s treble mean?

We are all used to backing the NAP, or the next best, well, you can add another horse into that mix, which would make up the Templegate treble.

This is three selections put into one ‘accumulator’ sort of bet which forms one main bet for the customer.

Of course, these types of bets have the bigger returns however they come up at pretty long odds as of course, all three selections need to win if you are to take home your winnings from the bookies.

Who is the horse tipster behind Templegate?

The horse racing tipster behind Templegate is a guy called Steve Mullen. Steve has been a prominent member in the horse racing fraternity and as such comes highly respected.

Steve, or his Templegate persona has decades of experience on tipping horses and as such is followed by the majority of horse racing punters in the UK.

Steve publishes his tips from all the major horse racing meetings in the UK and his Cheltenham Festival tips analysis and Grand National form guides should not be missed, especially on Saturdays when you have the main racing on the TV.

Check the ITV racing schedule for information on which races will be broadcast. Make sure you make a note his selections around the major race meetings.

Templegate believes that the best horse will win the race not necessarily the one at the most popular price.

He will try to be different and sometimes this can work in his favour & at other times he gets it wrong.

New for the 2024/2025 racing season, you can update your Templegate tip-sheets to a brand new look.
