Oasis Reunion – Which Song Will the Band Kick Off With in Cardiff?

Published

on

With anticipation building around the long-awaited Oasis reunion, attention has turned to the setlist and more specifically, the first song the band will play when they take the stage at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

Bookmakers have installed Acquiesce as the early favourite at 6/4 (40%), closely followed by the high-octane classics Rock n Roll Star and Hello, both priced at 2/1 (33.3%).

The Cardiff date is expected to be the first of a UK-wide reunion tour, marking a historic moment for fans who have waited over 15 years for Noel and Liam Gallagher to reunite on stage.

Sources suggest the setlist will lean heavily into their era-defining 90s catalogue, with the opening track sure to set the tone for what could be the most talked-about tour in decades.

“The betting market is incredibly active, with fans putting real money behind their predictions. Acquiesce is a popular choice – it’s a proper fan anthem and a symbolic opener for a reunion – but don’t count out Rock n Roll Star, which has traditionally set the pace for their biggest gigs. The fact that there are strong odds on both shows just how unpredictable this moment will be.”

Other contenders include Some Might Say and The Swamp Song at 6/1 (14.3%), while the likes of Morning Glory, Roll With It, and Shakermaker are all at 8/1 (11.1%).

Emotional favourites like Live Forever and Don’t Look Back In Anger are priced longer at 10/1 and 12/1, suggesting they could be reserved for later in the set.

While fans will hope for deep cuts and surprises, it’s clear that any song that opens Oasis’s return to the big stage in Cardiff will carry weight and the betting markets are buzzing with anticipation.
