Nigel Farage has surged to the top of the betting markets to become the next UK Prime Minister, with his odds slashed to 2/1 following a dramatic spike in public support.
According to the latest figures, 61% of all recent bets have backed the Reform UK leader to take the country’s top job, eclipsing leading Labour and Conservative contenders.
Farage’s return to frontline politics has turned the post-election landscape on its head.
The Reform leader has captured the public imagination during the general election campaign – and punters appear to believe that his momentum could carry him all the way to Number 10.

“This is one of the most remarkable betting swings we’ve seen in recent political markets. Farage was considered an outsider not long ago, but the weight of money now suggests punters believe he has a genuine route to power – whether through a snap election, coalition dynamics, or future leadership shifts.”
Labour’s Yvette Cooper (7/1, 12.5%), Angela Rayner (8/1, 11.1%), and Wes Streeting (8/1, 11.1%) remain in the running, while Conservative hopefuls such as Kemi Badenoch (10/1, 9.1%) and Robert Jenrick (12/1, 7.7%) are also attracting interest.
Surprisingly, even Boris Johnson remains in the mix at 14/1 (6.7%), though his political comeback seems far less certain.
While Farage remains a divisive figure nationally, the betting markets are treating his political momentum very seriously and for now, he’s the clear frontrunner to be Britain’s next Prime Minister.
