Gary Lineker Odds Slashed for I’m A Celebrity Appearance

It seems Gary Lineker could be swapping the football studio for the Australian jungle, with bookmakers Coral dramatically cutting his odds to join I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! later this year.
Following his high-profile departure from the BBC, the former England striker is now just 2/1 to sign up for ITV’s hit reality series, according to the Daily Star.
Coral originally had Lineker priced at 6/1, but interest has surged amid speculation he could be the show’s headline contestant.
Coral’s John Hill said:
“We think ITV bosses will be desperate to snap up Gary Lineker for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! later this year. The football presenter is just 6/4 to head Down Under this autumn for the show.”
Lineker’s potential jungle debut would mark a major shift from his long-standing role as host of Match of the Day, and could signal a new chapter in his post-BBC career. If confirmed, it would be one of the biggest signings in the show’s recent history.
Football greats have a strong track record on the show.
Harry Redknapp famously won in 2018, Ian Wright featured in 2019, and Jill Scott was crowned queen of the jungle in 2022.
If Lineker joins the camp this year, it would mark a major shift in his career , and could make him one of the biggest signings I’m A Celeb has seen in recent years.
