What are West Ham‘s chances of winning the Premier League?
West Ham have built well over the last two seasons with an impressive sixth and seventh place finish respectively. Can David Moyes’s side push on for European qualification again this season?
David Moyes is gearing up for his third full season in charge of West Ham; the Scottish manager has done a great job since he took over from Manuel Pellegrini midway through the 2019/20 season.

Moyes inherited a West Ham side that was in the relegation zone; he guided the team to safety, and proceeded to lead them to a European playoff spot in subsequent seasons.
Additionally, West Ham advanced to the semifinal of the UEFA Europa League last season, losing to eventual champions Eintracht Frankfurt.
With the Hammers gradually improving each season, it’s fair to wonder if they have a shot at winning the title.
What are West Ham odds on a top 4 finish?
16/1. A top 4 finish for West Ham may seem a little out of reach at the moment with the Big 4 still looking out in front but West Ham can certainly have a say.
West Ham can be backed at 16/1 for a top 4 finish.
What are the West Ham odds on a top 6 finish?
9/4. West Ham should be there or thereabouts for a top 6 finish this season but the Hammers will face stiff competition from Newcastle Utd this year, who have invested well and look the the major threat.
West Ham finished seventh last season, earning a Europa Conference League qualifying spot in the process; they’ve finished in the top 7 in the last two seasons.
In spite of that, the Hammers are priced at a colossal 250/1 odds to lift the Premier League title; as a matter of fact, the bookies believe David Moyes’s men have a better chance of being relegated, with the odds of West Ham’s relegation paying at 20/1.

With these odds in mind, we would like to take a look at West Ham’s chances.
David Moyes splashed over £80m on new signings this summer; only eight European teams have spent more money at the time of writing.
The Hammers signed ex-PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Aréola, who had spent some time on loan at the club last season; they also brought in Gianluca Scamacca and Nayef Aguerd, with both players costing around £30m each.
Also, West Ham strengthened their midfield with the arrival of Flynn Downes from Swansea.
The club lost their fair share of players, with Ryan Fredericks and Andriy Yarmolenko leaving on free transfers. Furthermore, long-term captain Mark Noble retired this summer, having spent 18 years at the club.
Despite West Ham’s activity in the transfer market however, they did not look too good in their pre-season friendlies; the Hammers won just two of seven friendly matches, with no wins in their last four games.
This poor run of form should be a cause for concern considering West Ham will host defending champions Manchester City in their opening league match.
It’s also important to note that West Ham have never won the Premier League; the closest they ever came was a third-place finish in the 1985/86 season.
All things considered, it’ll be interesting to see if David Moyes can steer his team to their first-ever league title.
