Their manager Valerien Ismael is really coming under a little bit of pressure as the much fancied West Brom have fallen off the challenge for the automatic promotion spots in England’s second tier.
Much of this has to do with West Brom only securing one win in their last five matches in the Championship. Goals have been hard to come by and the Baggies are really struggling to find an out and out striker who can simply just put the ball in the back of the net.
West Brom are now nine points off Championship league leaders Fulham, and they simply cannot afford to drop points at home, especially with the games coming thick and fast as we approach the Christmas run in.
An away draw at Blackpool last time out will have done little to lighten the spirits of supporters.
The can count on their fine home form however coming into this one tonight, with West Brom still unbeaten at the Hawthorns ground this season with a record of won six, drawn three and lost zero.
The Baggies will be without Jake Livermore, who was sent off last week.
Nottingham Forest are themselves starting to stall a little, with Steve Cooper working wonders since his arrival to move the Tricky Trees away from the relegation zone.
That form of a few months back has stuttered somewhat, with Forest drawing four of their last five games. Those draws have stalled progress, although Nottingham still find themselves in a healthy looking thirteen position.
Steve Cooper may still have one eye on the playoffs, and a win for either side tonight could really kick start their season.
