With only three games left in the season there’s plenty riding on it, although second placed Sheffield Utd look out of sight so this may just have a bearing on who plays who in the playoffs.

After their 2-0 victory over Rotherham the previous weekend, Luton Town played out a 1-1 draw at Reading a few days ago.

Despite having a one-man advantage for over 35 minutes, Rob Edwards’ men frustratingly couldn’t take all three points.

Luton are seven points behind the automatic promotion spots, with just three games left to play.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough followed last weekend’s 5-1 victory over Norwich with a 3-1 win at home in their mid-week fixture; a couple of decent wins that tightens their grip on the playoffs.

Luton Town may have lost out in the automatic promotion places, but they have impressed many in recent weeks.

The Hatters are currently unbeaten in their last 11 matches, with seven wins and four draws.

Michael Carrick’s Boro side are coming into this game from back-to-back victories after enduring a three-match winless run.

The Boro have won five of their last 10 games, with two draws and three losses coming into this one tonight.

The Luton Town v Middlesbrough match has a kick off time of 8PM.
