Watford v Luton

Watford will welcome an in-form Luton Town to Vicarage Road on Sunday’s lunchtime fixture, as Slaven Bilic looks to improve his managerial record.

Things have not gone according to plan since the arrival of the experienced Croatian and results really need to pick up soon.

Slaven Bilic’s men have three losses in their last four games, and the pressure is certainly already starting to build following the departure of former manager Rob Edwards..

Watford were thrashed 3-0 midweek against Millwall midweek and will need to improve as they welcome Luton Town to Vicarage Road.

Watford followed an impressive victory over Norwich City last weekend with a disappointing 3:0 loss at Millwall a few days ago; they conceded three times in the first 35 minutes, and were unable to come back from that.

The Hornets have been going through a rough patch these past few weeks; as they suffered three losses in their last four matches.

As a result of their poor form, Watford have slipped slowly down the table and they now find themselves in 15th place on the Championship table.

The side have obtained a total of 20 points from 15 league matches so far.

Slaven Bilic will need to turn things around if he intends to keep his job; and it’ll be interesting to see how the Hornets will fare against this decent looking Luton side.

The Hatters held their own against Norwich in their midweek fixture; despite having just 35 percent of the ball, they were able to limit the Canaries to a shot on target.

Nathan Jones’s men have won back-to-back games, scoring four times and conceding just once.

It’s also worth mentioning that Luton Town have been a tough nut to crack; they are unbeaten in their last seven games, with one loss in their last 11 matches.

As it stands, Luton Town are in eighth-place on the league table with 24 points from 15 matches.

As Nathan Jones’s men pay a visit to Vicarage Road, they’ll be eyeing all three points.

Watford are the favourites here, which makes sense considering they have a fairly decent record at home.

The Hornets have four wins in seven home games, with a draw and two losses.

However, Watford’s recent form doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence; they have three losses in their last four games, conceding nine times in that four-game stretch.

On the other hand, Luton Town have been one of the best road teams in the Championship this season; they’ve won four of seven games away from home, losing just once.

Considering Luton Town have no losses in their last seven matches, we don’t think they’ll lose today.

The ‘Luton to win or draw’ option can be backed at a price of around 4/7 which looks pretty reasonable.

The action kicks off from Watford’s Vicarage Road Stadium at 12:00 BST.
