“Defeat to QPR made for a far from ideal start to life at Watford for Chris Wilder. Their faint play-off hopes are hanging by a thread and they need to turn around their fortunes quickly if they’re to salvage anything from this campaign”
Birmingham will be buoyed by their 2-0 win over Rotherham over the weekend, which could prove pivotel.
James continues:
“Against a Birmingham City side buoyed by their weekend win though, it could be another tough one for the hosts”
Watford seemingly have one eye on their summer holidays and in their last game against QPR fell to a disappointing 1-0 loss.
“Watford really lacked conviction against the R’s and if they’re to have a lot of the ball again, they need to show more intent with it.”
Much of the money looks to be on the Birmingham away win and at 2/1 their price certainly offers appeal, although he things Watford should get something out of the game.
James comments:
“Against the Blues, that will be tested and I can see them falling short again. I’m going for a score draw, which will come as another welcome boost to Eustace and co’s survival bid.”
