Burnley’s unbeaten run came to an end as they faced Sheffield United last weekend; despite having the lead at the half-time break, the Clarets conceded four unanswered goals in the second half, losing by a humiliating 5:2 scoreline.

Vincent Kompany’s men were unbeaten in 17 prior games; they had also won four consecutive matches before last weekend’s disaster at Bramall Lane.

It’s also worth noting that Burnley have been the best team in the Championship despite that loss; as they are leading the Championship standings ahead of this fixture.

Also, the Clarets defeated Shrewsbury Town in the previous round of the EFL Cup; they’ll look to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing loss by knocking out Crawley Town today.

Crawley Town’s FA Cup campaign didn’t last very long; they went up against Accrington Stanley in their first round fixture last weekend, losing by a 4:1 scoreline.

Interestingly, Lewis Young’s men had no losses in five prior fixtures, with three wins and two draws.

We would like to point out that Crawley town have impressed so far in this tournament; despite playing in League Two, they defeated League One outfit Bristol Rovers, and Premier League side Fulham in the last two rounds.

This will be another tough test for Lewis Young’s men, as Burnley are two tiers above them on the English Football League.

Considering the calibre of teams they’ve beaten, Crawley Town will fancy their chances against Burnley.

Crawley Town have scored and conceded goals regularly over the course of their season; they found the net in all of their last six games, whilst keeping no clean sheets in that stretch.

Burnley scored in all of their last 18 matches across all competitions; conversely, they have seen their defense breached in five of their last six matches.

Kick off time for this one is 19:45 BST.
