Six episodes in, and The Celebrity Traitors had made UK television history.
No Traitor had been banished yet, setting a new national record for the longest run without a single one being exposed. The Traitors continued to run riot, and the Faithful were being picked off one by one in what was becoming one of the most dramatic seasons yet.
Episode six brought more chaos and heartbreak. Comedian Joe Wilkinson became the latest Faithful to be murdered overnight, followed by the shock banishment of Stephen Fry, another innocent sent home after masterful Traitor manipulation at the roundtable. With each episode the Faithful camp grew smaller, yet the Traitors remained firmly in control.
Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns had by then orchestrated five murders and five banishments, all of innocent Faithfuls. Their dominance pushed the game into uncharted territory, with the trio described as the most successful alliance the series had ever seen.
Alan Carr the new favourite
Bookmakers reacted swiftly, and Alan Carr became the outright favourite to win the series. His odds shortened to 1/3, reflecting a clever blend of humour, strategy and social charm that helped him glide through the game without drawing suspicion.
| Contestant | Mid-series odds |
|---|---|
| Alan Carr | 1/3 |
| Cat Burns | 1/1 |
| Jonathan Ross | 1/1 |
| David Olusoga | 4/1 |
| Joe Marler | 5/1 |
Cat Burns and Jonathan Ross both remained strong contenders at even money, showing that any of the three could take the crown if their unity held. Their subtle teamwork and calm under pressure made them an almost untouchable force at that stage.
The Faithful under pressure
Episode six ended on another tense cliffhanger as the Traitors were tasked with choosing their next victim, with Kate Garraway, Lucy Beaumont and Nick Mohammed all facing potential elimination. Kate had been on the shortlist several times before.
Cat Burns’ own position had weakened slightly after Nick Mohammed appeared to voice suspicion about her. If those doubts spread among the Faithful, cracks could finally begin to show in the dominant Traitor trio.
Among the remaining Faithfuls, Nick Mohammed and Joe Marler appeared to be forming an alliance, making them the most likely to reach the game’s final stages. David Olusoga (4/1) and Joe Marler (5/1) remained the best-placed Faithfuls in the betting. If you were also watching The Traitors Series 4, you can follow those odds separately.
