Blackburn Rovers and Watford will lock horns at Ewood Park on Tuesday evening, as both teams contend for three points; this encounter has mostly been one-sided in recent years, as Watford won the last three meetings between these sides.
As a matter of fact, the Hornets have no losses in their last five clashes with Blackburn Rovers; will they be able to extend that run today, or will Blackburn finally put an end to that streak?
Read along as we analyse both teams, mentioning the stats and odds along the way.

Blackburn’s saw their clash with Wigan postponed as a result of the Queen’s passing last week; prior to that, they suffered a disappointing 3:2 loss at the hands of Bristol City. It’s important to point out that Blackburn have struggled to find their footing recently, especially in the Championship; as they suffered four losses in their last five league games.
Interestingly, Jon Dahl Tomasson’s men had three consecutive wins to start their Championship campaign; in fact, they had won six games in a row at some point this season.
As it stands, Blackburn Rovers are seventh on the Championship table; they’ve won four and lost four of eight league matches so far.
With that in mind, it’ll be interesting to see if Blackburn can get back on course with a win here.
Like Blackburn, Watford saw their clash with Reading rescheduled last weekend. The Hornets have had their fair share of struggles lately; they’ve won just one of their last six games in all competitions, with three draws and two losses.
As a result of their poor run of form, Watford dropped to sixth on the league table; they are just above tonight’s opponents, with 13 points from eight league games.
Unlike Blackburn however, Watford have not lost a lot of games recently; while the Rovers lost four of eight league games, Watford suffered just one loss in eight Championship matches.
Interestingly, the Hornets have as many draws as they have wins and losses combined.
Although Watford dominated recent meetings between these two, those encounters have not been one-sided in goalscoring terms; as a matter of fact, both teams were on the score sheet in four of the last five clashes between these teams.
We would like to point out that Watford have no clean sheets in their last four games, while Blackburn Rovers have seen their defence breached in six of their last seven matches.
Considering the way these teams concede goals, we should expect goals at both ends; this option pays at 8/9 odds.
