It’s been an interesting season so far in Italy, with Inter Milan doing their utmost to mount a title challenge and knock Juventus off their perch. But Maurizio Sarri’s side will be hard to topple as they seek yet another Serie A trophy.
However, Antonio Conte’s men have shone this season, and they go into the winter break sitting top of the table on goal difference. Both Inter and Juve boast identical records after 17 games, with 13 wins, three draws and one loss each. The former have, however, scored more and conceded fewer to give them a better goal difference as we approach the halfway stage of the campaign.
Despite their lead, Inter sit behind Juve in the odds to clinch the title at 13/5. Juventus are currently 2/5 to win it.
Lazio sit third in the table, and are available at 9/1 to somehow upset the status quo and secure the Serie A title.
Roma find themselves at 33/1, with Atalanta available at 50/1. After their change in management, Napoli are currently 200/1 to recover and finish top of the table at the end of the season.
And at the bottom end of the table, Genoa find themselves in trouble with just two wins from their 17 games. They are 10/11 to go down this season. SPAL and Lecce are also struggling, and are 4/9 and 8/13 respectively to suffer from relegation.
Brescia and Sampdoria are also in danger of the drop. The former are currently 4/5 to go down, with the latter available at 13/5.
Fabio Quagliarella proved he still has the golden touch as he stormed to the top of the goal scoring charts last season. The Sampdoria striker netted 26 in the last campaign, three ahead of Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata and five ahead of both Cristiano Ronaldo and Krzysztof Piatek.
But this season is different. It’s Lazio’s Ciro Immobile who sits way ahead of the rest with 17 goals. He’s currently 3/10 to finish the campaign sitting top of the goalscoring charts.
Inter’s Romelu Lukaku is his nearest competitor with 12.
The former Manchester United man is available at 11/2 to be the league’s top scorer this season.
His strike partner Lautaro Martinez is available at 20/1 to clinch the award.
Atalanta’s Luis Muriel sits on ten goals for the campaign, and he’s also 20/1 to finish top of the Serie A scoring charts come the end of the season. Ronaldo is currently 9/1 to fire his way to the top of the leaderboard.
Torino captain Andrea Belotti is currently 35/1, as is Roma forward Edin Dzeko.
