Ross County v Celtic FC Live Stream – Watch Scottish Cup tie on TV

Published

on

The Global Energy Stadium in Dingwall will host Ross County and Celtic on Wednesday evening in this Scottish Cup clash.

This has largely been a one-sided contest over the years; as Celtic have won the last five clashes between these sides, 16 of their last 20 meetings too.

Will Ross County be able to halt Celtic’s dominance today, or will the Bhoys extend their winning streak over Malky Mackay’s men to five games?

Ross County’s Premiership campaign has not gone swimmingly so far; as they’ve lost four of five league games this season.

Because of this, Ross County are second-last on the league table, with just three points from a possible 15.

However, it’s worth noting that Ross County have had different results in the League Cup; they finished at the top of Group C, with four wins from four games.

In fact, Ross County kept three clean sheets in those games, allowing just one goal.

To be fair, those wins came against teams in the lower tiers of Scottish football; Malky Mackay’s men have struggled against Premiership calibre opposition. On that note, it’ll be interesting to see if Ross County will be able to keep their 100% record in this tournament intact.

Celtic, on the other hand, have been the best team in Scotland this season; they have a perfect record in the Premiership, with five wins in as many games.

It’s even more impressive considering the Bhoys have allowed just one goal in those five games; they’ve scored 21 times in that stretch, and are coming off a huge 9:0 win at Dundee United.

Moreover, Celtic’s fine form didn’t start recently; Ange Postecoglou’s men have no losses in their last 16 matches, with just one loss in their last 24 games. Also, Celtic have won six consecutive matches in all competitions, and will look to extend that run to seven games.

We’ve previously mentioned that Ross County tend to struggle against Celtic; they’ve won just two of the last 22 clashes between these two, with three draws and 17 losses.

Furthermore, we should point out that Celtic tend to score a lot of goals against Ross County; they’ve scored two or more goals in 12 of the last 14 encounters between these sides, and have averaged almost three goals per game in their last five clashes.

As a result, meetings between these teams tend to be on the high-scoring side; as four of their last five encounters saw at least three goals scored.

Celtic scored nine goals in their last match, and they’re averaging over four goals per game this season; and on that, we should expect up to four goals in this match.

The over 3.5 goals option is priced at 6/5 odds.
