Veljko Paunovic’s side have won seven and drawn two of their ten matches so far, with their only two losses coming in the aforementioned meetings with Coventry and Preston.

The Royals have scored 17, second only to Blackburn‘s 18.

Stoke meanwhile sit 11th in the standings. Michael O’Neill’s men have four wins, three draws and three losses to their name.

In an extremely competitive division once again, they are just seven points off the league leaders.

They now travel to London early on Saturday in a bid to close that gap. But the Potters also lost their most recent encounter, suffering a 3-2 defeat at Watford on Wednesday.

A home win is currently available at 2/1, with an away victory currently 17/10.

A draw between the sides can be backed at 21/10.

Reading’s Lucas Joao has been in fine form in recent months. He boasts six goals and three assists in his nine games so far. The forward has been crucial to the Royals, and he will be keen to add to his tally this weekend.

Also in form is his team-mate Yakou Meite. The striker sits on four goals for the season.

Joao has been given odds of 6/1 to open the scoring.

Meite is available at 13/2 to find the first goal of the game.

Also looking to impress is youngster Michael Olise. The 18-year-old has two goals and three assists in the Championship this time around, with his performances reportedly catching the eye of Premier League side Leeds.

The youngster can be backed at 14/1 to score first against Stoke.

But several players for the visitors will be eager to give their side a much-needed headstart on Saturday. Strikers Steven Fletcher and Sam Vokes are available at 6/1 and 7/1 respectively to score the first goal of the game.
