If Vladimir Ivić’s side pick up three points and other results go their way, they could end the weekend at the top of the table.
They travel to Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon hoping to do just that.
QPR v Watford Form Guide
Standing in their way are Mark Warburton’s QPR, who occupy 18th spot in the division after a poor start to the new campaign.
The Hoops have just three wins to their name, compared to Watford’s six. However, despite the apparent gap, just eight points separate the two sides in a hugely competitive Championship season so far.
Both clubs have even had a similar run of form in recent weeks, with both picking up two wins in their last five matches.

The international break, therefore, may have come at a good time for Warburton and Ivic as they now look to kick-on towards Christmas.
The hosts lost 3-1 to Blackburn before the internationals, with the visitors edging 3-2 past Coventry.
Saturday afternoon presents a fresh challenge, and one that Watford will be eyeing as the perfect opportunity to move closer to life back in the Premier League.
They go into the match as favourites at 17/13, with QPR available at 23/10. A draw has also been given odds of 23/10.
Scotland international Lyndon Dykes has been doing his utmost to fire Warburton’s side to glory this season. He has been impressing on the international stage, with his performances in the Championship also catching the eye.
Dykes sits on three goals for the campaign and can be backed at 7/1 to score the opener on Saturday afternoon.
Youngsters Joao Pedro and Ismaila Sarr meanwhile have been providing the goods for the Hornets after the club’s disappointing relegation from the top-flight.
Pedro has four goals this season, with Sarr currently on three. The former has been given odds of 5/1 to open the scoring, with the latter available at 15/2.
