Preston NE v Stoke City : Find a live stream from Deepdale
Three points will be at stake as Preston North End welcome Stoke City to the Deepdale Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Potters have not fared well against Preston in the past; as they won just one of the last 11 meetings between these teams.
Will Stoke City improve that poor record with a win today, or will it be business as usual for Preston?
Preston North End suffered a 2:1 defeat at Bristol City in their midweek fixture; prior to that loss, they had won back-to-back games, with no losses in three matches.

Ryan Lowe’s men have won five matches across all competitions so far, and four of those wins came on the road; they’ve won just one of seven home games this season.
As it stands, Preston North End are in eighth-place, they’ve garnered 19 points from 14 league matches. Ryan Lowe’s men will hope to rebound from their recent loss as Stoke City come visiting.
On the other hand, Stoke City are coming off an impressive win against league leaders Sheffield United; they were very efficient in front of goal, scoring three times from five shots on goal.
That was Stoke City’s first win in four games; as they had two draws and a loss in three prior fixtures.
Alex Neil’s men have had some mixed results in recent weeks; they have two wins, two draws and two losses in their last six matches.
The Potters are now 17th on the Championship table, with 16 points from 13 league games.
It’ll be interesting to see how Stoke City will fare as they make the trip to the Deepdale Stadium.

We would like to point out that Preston North End have had Stoke City’s number in the past; they’ve faced the Potters 11 times in the past two decades, and lost just one of those games.
However, Ryan Lowe’s men have won only one home game this season, so backing them to win is probably not the best choice.
Interestingly, when these teams meet, they usually don’t score plenty of goals; as four of their last five clashes saw less than three goals scored.
Considering seven of Preston’s last nine matches went south of the 2.5 goal marker, we shouldn’t expect many goals in this match.
The ‘under 2.5 goals’ option pays at 3/5 odds, and it’s worth a punt.
