Leicester City v Crystal Palace Prediction
Leicester City and Crystal Palace come into this Sunday matchup safe in the knowledge that both have secured another season in the Premier League. Brendan Roger’s Leicester continue to perform well with another top 10 finish on the cards, while Patrick Viera has done a sterling job at Crystal Palace. Here are our predictions on how the game will go.
The Eagles of Crystal Palace sit pretty in ninth place in the table, and considering where they were at the start of the season, there is plenty of optimism around Selhurst Park at the moment.
Remarkably its now only one loss in their last eight games and Crystal Palace are now proving to be a tough side to beat at the moment. Don’t forget to read our Paddy Power free bets guide on this one.
Palace come into this one on the back of a thumping 3-0 home win over Arsenal, and together with a 0-0 draw with high flying Manchester City, Viera is certainly building a side who continue to move forward in the right direction.
There have even been England call ups in the form of Conor Gallagher and Marc Guéhi which just goes to show there any many high profile pundits and the England manager who are sitting up and taking note of Crystal Palace and their recent progress.
Their opponents in Leicester City are another side who continue to impress season after season. Brendan Rogers now has a solid spine of the team available again even without the recent services of Jamie Vardy and Wilfried Ndidi who remain side lined through injury.
Leicester City find themselves on equal points with their opponents today, albeit with two games in hand of Crystal Palace but there really is not much to choose from between these two sides.
The home side are the favourites to take all three points, with the bookmakers pricing this one up as 13/10 on the home win, while you can get 11/5 on the Crystal Palace away win.
Leicester will be a tough side to beat in this one as they have a pretty strong record at The King Power Stadium, having been unbeaten in their last four at home. Brendan Rogers’s side also secured a draw away at Manchester Utd in their last outing, while their last two home games have resulted in pretty much straight forward home wins.
The Foxes secured two narrow wins over two sides in the bottom half of the table in Brentford and Leeds Utd, games they would probably expect to win.
Conclusion
This is pretty much a difficult game to predict as both sides will be happy with their seasons and there’s not much really to play for. Leicester will no doubt be the more disappouinted of the two sides as as Europa League place looks pretty much out of their grasp at the current time.
The price of 11/5 on the Crystal Palace away win does look quite a decent bet all things considered. Palace brushed aside Arsenal with relative ease in their last match and they should head to Leicester full of confidence, especially as Wilfred Zaha does look back to his best.
There’s no reason to go against Palace at the moment, even though Leicester are difficult to break down at home.
Our match day prediction then is to go with the Crystal Palace away win. That price offers plenty of value and you should get a plenty of legs with the bet.
