Angela Rayner Set for I’m A Celebrity? Bookies Offer 5/1 Odds After Labour Resignation
Angela Rayner has been thrust into an unlikely spotlight following her dramatic resignation as Deputy Leader of the Labour Party with bookmakers now pricing her at 5/1 to appear on the next series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!
Rayner stepped down today after breaking the ministerial code, according to a report from Sir Keir Starmer’s independent ethics adviser.
Now, speculation is growing that Rayner could follow in the footsteps of other politicians who have swapped Westminster for reality TV fame.
Dave James, Odds expert at whataretheodds.co.uk comments:
“Rayner’s resignation has turned her into one of the most talked about figures in British politics. Bookmakers believe ITV could be tempted to capitalise on her outspoken personality and relatability, although she could be first up for Im A Celebrity elimination.,
James noted: “Angela Rayner would be a box-office signing. Like Matt Hancock before her, she has the mix of controversy and charisma that guarantees headlines and that’s exactly what ITV want in the jungle.”
Former Conservative health secretary Matt Hancock set the precedent in 2023 when he earned a reported £320,000 to enter the jungle, a move that caused controversy but boosted ratings.

I’m A Celebrity Expert Predicts FIRST Elimination Ahead of Sunday Opener
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! returns this Sunday, and before a single Bushtucker Trial has taken place, bookmakers are already pricing up who could be the first to leave the jungle. While viewers haven’t seen any camp dynamics yet, early odds paint a picture of who the public may warm to and who might struggle to win votes once the eliminations begin.
Ruby Wax and Eddie Kadi Favourites to leave first
At this early stage, comedian Eddie Kadi and TV icon Ruby Wax lead the market as the initial favourites for the first eviction.
First Elimination Odds:
| Celebrity | Odds | Implied % Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Eddie Kadi | 6/4 | 40.0% |
| Ruby Wax | 3/1 | 25.0% |
| Alex Scott | 5/1 | 16.7% |
| Vogue Williams | 5/1 | 16.7% |
| Shona McGarty | 7/1 | 12.5% |
| Kelly Brook | 7/1 | 12.5% |
| Lisa Riley | 12/1 | 7.7% |
| Jack Osbourne | 14/1 | 6.7% |
| Martin Kemp | 16/1 | 5.9% |
| Aitch | 20/1 | 4.8% |
| Tom Read Wilson | 25/1 | 3.8% |
| Angry Ginge | 33/1 | 2.9% |
Eddie Kadi Early Favourite to Go First
Dave James, Celebrity Odds Expert at What Are The Odds comments:
“Eddie Kadi sits at the top of the elimination market at 6/4. Despite being well known for his stand up comedy and recent run on Strictly Come Dancing, betting analysts suggest he may find it difficult to dominate screen time in a cast packed with strong personalities.
Pre-show speculation hints that Kadi could be the quieter type in camp, which often leads to early exits if voters feel they haven’t seen enough of a celebrity. While he has a big fan base, the odds suggest he may need strong early performances to avoid slipping into danger once the public vote opens.”
“Ruby Wax is the second favourite at 3/1, with bookmakers unsure how the public will react to her direct, comedic style in the pressurised environment of the jungle.
We all know Wax is known for her sharp humour and blunt delivery traits that will likely make her one of the more memorable campmates. However, early markets suggest that if viewers perceive her as too intense, she could quickly drift towards the bottom of the vote. Still, with such a seasoned entertainer in the lineup, she’s equally capable of becoming one of the stars of the season.
Behind the two frontrunners are several big names who could also come under pressure early depending on how the opening episodes unfold. Alex Scott and Vogue Williams sit at 5/1, suggesting the market sees them as potential early casualties if they struggle to shine on screen.
Soap favourite Shona McGarty and TV personality Kelly Brook follow at 7/1, with the rest of the cast at much longer odds. As always with I’m A Celeb, one standout trial, unexpected storyline or emotional moment could completely reshape the early elimination landscape.”

Martin Kemp 2/1
“The 2026 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded line-ups in years with household names from music, sport, comedy and soapland heading to the Australian jungle. Leading the betting this year is Spandau Ballet legend Martin Kemp, who’s been installed as the early 2/1 favourite to be crowned King of the Jungle. The 64-year-old ’80s icon is expected to win over viewers with his charm, charisma and inevitable campfire singalongs. Martin’s a true household name from topping the charts with Spandau Ballet in the ’80s to his unforgettable stint in EastEnders in the 2000s. He’s a fantastic signing for this year’s show, and there’s a real buzz about seeing him take on the jungle.”
Lisa Riley 3/1
“Hot on his heels is Emmerdale favourite Lisa Riley (3/1), who’s long been linked with the show. The much loved actress, known for her role as Mandy Dingle,is finally swapping the Dales for the jungle, and fans are already backing her in their droves.
Lisa’s finally stopped saying no to the jungle after years of offers and fans can’t wait to see her in action. She’s admitted she might be ‘too much of a coper’ for good telly, but knowing Lisa, she’ll bring her trademark confidence, big personality, and even a few dance routines around the campfire. She’s more than ready to take on the cockroaches!”
Kelly Brook 5/1
“Former Love Island host and model Kelly Brook (5/1) is another big name heading Down Under, reportedly signing a lucrative ITV deal after years of turning down the offer. ITV bosses have been keen to sign Kelly for years and many think she could be their sexiest contestant ever. She came across really well with audiences on Celebrity Race Across the World and is glamorous, witty, and a familiar face to viewers thanks to her time on Loose Women and other ITV shows. Kelly’s the full package and guaranteed to make perfect TV viewing.”
Jack Osbourne 5/1
“The Osbournes star Jack Osbourne (5/1) will bring rock ’n’ roll to the outback, making his jungle debut following the death of his father, music legend Ozzy Osbourne, earlier this year.Jack’s had a tough few months following the loss of his dad, but I’m A Celeb bosses are thrilled to have him on board. He’s been a star in his own right ever since The Osbournes burst onto screens over two decades ago, and viewers will be eager to see this next chapter in his story”
Joining her on those odds is Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson (5/1), whose warm wit could make him a camp favourite.
Elsewhere, Football Focus presenter Alex Scott (6/1) and social media sensation Angry Ginge (6/1) are both tipped to go far. Scott brings competitive spirit and confidence, while Angry Ginge’s passionate personality could see him win over the nation just as he has millions online.
Comedy fans will be cheering on Eddie Kadi (8/1), whose quick humour should keep spirits high. Vogue Williams (9/1) adds glamour to the line-up, while BRIT Award-winning rapper Aitch (10/1) could surprise a few people as the first rapper in camp since Tinchy Stryder.
Rounding off the confirmed stars are EastEnders actress Shona McGarty (11/1) and the inimitable Ruby Wax (12/1), whose wit and sharp questions promise to keep things lively around the campfire.”

Alan Carr ‘Set to Replace’ Tess and Claudia as Strictly Come Dancing Host After Shock Odds Slash
Alan Carr is being strongly tipped to take over as one of the new presenters of Strictly Come Dancing after his emotional victory on The Celebrity Traitors.
Bookmakers have priced the comedian at 2/1 to join the hit BBC show giving him a 33% chance of stepping into the presenting role left vacant by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
The 49-year-old has become the nation’s latest TV darling following his dramatic win on The Celebrity Traitors, which drew more than 10 million viewers on Thursday night.
Carr broke down in tears as he was crowned winner and revealed he would donate his entire £87,500 prize to the children’s charity Neuroblastoma UK, saying the money would “change lives.”
Now, it looks like Carr’s own life could be changing too.
His triumph in the Scottish castle has reportedly caught the attention of BBC bosses, who see him as the perfect fit to bring his trademark warmth and humour to Strictly Come Dancing next year.
A BBC insider told The Mirror: “Alan has always been a star, but it’s amazing what a month in a Scottish castle can do to elevate your career. He’s ours now.”
Carr’s odds of 2/1 to become the next Strictly presenter make him one of the front-runners for the job, ahead of other potential TV appearances.
Bookmakers have also listed odds of 6/4 (40% chance) on Alan Carr: Chatty Man returning, 3/1 (25%) for a stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle in 2026, 5/1 (17%) for Celebrity Big Brother, and 6/1 (14%) for Celebrity Race Across the World.
| Alan Carr Betting Specials | Odds | Percentage Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Brings back Alan Carr: Chatty Man | 6/4 | 40% |
| Becomes presenter on Strictly Come Dancing | 2/1 | 33% |
| Appears on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2026 | 3/1 | 25% |
| Celebrity Big Brother 2026 | 5/1 | 17% |

Carr, who was once overlooked for a judging role on Britain’s Got Talent in 2023, has seen his popularity skyrocket after charming the public during his time on The Celebrity Traitors.
If the odds are anything to go by, Alan Carr could soon be trading the Scottish castle for the Strictly ballroom swapping deception and drama for sequins and samba.
