Who Are Paddy Power?
Well known for their controversial marketing campaigns, witty tweets and overall laddish behaviour Paddy Power are, arguably, one of the most well known bookmakers both online and on the high street.
Founded in Ireland 30 years ago, their popularity has grown rapidly over the last decade or so and it’s easy to see why. Paddy Power do things differently, and it works. Paying out early on bets or even on bets that haven’t actually won, novelty markets and just a more fun and relaxed approach to betting has helped with their success.
Their marketing style resonates with a younger audience. A community feel across social media provides more than just a betting platform, there’s a sense of belonging.
Some of their recent marketing campaigns include Loyalty’s Dead featuring Rhodri Giggs, Ryan’s brother, Brexit Bunker and Dear England, a weekend long campaign when Ireland faced England in the Six Nations taunting England fans about Brexit.
Away from marketing Paddy Power offer a quality betting service. Below is an in-depth preview of the betting firm outlining their free bet offers, promotions and more.

How do free bets work on Paddy Power?
Like all online betting firms Paddy Power offer punters a number of incentives to open an account and bet with them.
Typically it’s one offer for all, but with Paddy Power there’s a couple to choose from depending on your preferences.
Below is a brief overview of their current sign up offers.
Paddy Power £20 Risk Free Bet
To claim this offer head over to Google and type in Paddy Power £20 Risk Free Bet.
Head to the Paddy Power page that comes up and then head over to the website to open an account for the first time.
As with all sign up offers you will not qualify for this promotion if you have previously opened a Paddy Power account, so be warned. Once you’ve filled in all your personal details, selected your username and created a password deposit and bet £20.
If the bet wins then you’ll take your winnings as normal, however if it loses you’ll get your £20 back in cash!
To deposit money into your account simply press the arrow next to your balance, then select deposit. Follow the onscreen instructions and you should have betting funds in your account within a matter of seconds.
Deposits made by Neteller or Moneybookers will not be eligible for the offer.
This offer will apply to your first bet on Paddy Power providing all other terms and conditions are met.
Your first bet must be placed on a single on any sport and at odds of 1/2 or greater.
There are no additional wagering requirements once you’ve won your winnings or got your free bet back. Also, this offer is restricted to one free bet per household/address.
Paddy Power Bet £10 get £40
Arguably Paddy Power’s most popular sign up offer, the Bet £10 get £40 in free bets requires new customers to sign up for an account using promo code YSKA18.
Once your account has been created deposit and bet at least £10 on a single sportsbook market at odds of 1/2 or greater within 30 days of your account being opened.
Once your qualifying bet has been settled you’ll receive £30 in free bets to be used on any sportsbook market, but again odds must be greater than 1/2 and free bets will be valid for only 30 days, so don’t waste any time.
As well as £30 in. free sports bets you’ll also receive a £10 game bonus for the slot game TED.
All winnings from the bonus must be wagered 15 times before you can withdraw them.
Deposits must be made by debit/credit card or Paypal to qualify for this offer. Skrill, Paysafe and Neteller deposits will not count towards the offer.
Cashed out or partially cashed out qualifying bets will not qualify for the free bets.
Free bets can be used all at once or on separate bets, providing you use them before they expire.
To use a free bet simply add a selection to your bet slip like normal, type in your stake and then tick the free bet box to ensure the stake is taken from your free bets and not your own money. As with most free bet offers, your free bet stake will not be included in any winnings.
You can view all of your free bets in the ‘My Free Bets’ tab.
Along with their sign up offers Paddy Power offer plenty of rewards for loyal customers. Some of which we’ve outlined below – it all begins with Rhodri Giggs.
What is Paddy Power Rewards Club?
In 2019 Paddy Power launched their loyalty scheme in a way only they could get away with.
The marketing campaign, spear headed by Ryan Giggs’ brother, Rhodri, claimed loyalty was dead, poking fun at his brother’s lengthy affair with his own wife. Brilliant.
Anyway, on to what matters most, the offer itself.
To qualify you must open an account like normal and opt in via the promotions page. Once you’ve done that there are three different ways to qualify for a freebie or two each week.
Place one bet of at least £5 on a sports market or virtual market before end of play each Sunday and receive a Power Up.
Place at least five bets of £5 or more on a sports market or virtual market in the same week and receive a £5 free bet which can be used on all sportsbook markets along with a Power Up.
Place 5 or more bets of £10 or more on a sports market or virtual market in the same week and receive a £10 free bet to be used on all sportsbook markets and a Power Up.
Qualifying bets must be placed between Monday 00:01 and Sunday 23:59 each week, rewards will then be credited the following Monday before 12pm.
All free bets accumulated through the Paddy Power Rewards Club must be used before 23:59 the following Sunday. Power Ups will expire seven days after being credited.
As with Paddy Power’s sign up offers, only bets placed at odds of 1/2 or greater will qualify for the loyalty scheme. Multiple bets on the same selection will not count towards the offer, only your first bet will go towards the offer.
So 2 x £10 bets on Liverpool to beat Tottenham will not qualify, only one of the bets will count. Likewise, cashed out or partially cashed out bets will not qualify for the offer.
Once credited, free bets can be used the same way all other free bets can be used and any winnings will not include the free bet stake.
A Paddy Power Power Up gives you the chance to boost the odds on a single bet either pre-play or in-Play on all sports. Multiples and scorecasts are excluded, but most other markets are available. Just one of a number of ways Paddy Power give us punters added value.
Free Bets and Power Ups can not be combined, so choose wisely.
What is Paddy Power Friends With Benefits?
Another way in which Paddy Power reward loyal customers is via one of their latest promotions, Friends With Benefits.
This is their very own referral scheme designed to encourage current customers to refer friends in exchange for a £20 free bet.
The more friends you refer the more free bets you receive, winner! And, for a limited time only, you’ll receive bonus free bets for referring more than one friend or colleague per month.
This promotion is available for all customers.
To qualify, simply share your unique referral link with anyone who doesn’t have a Paddy Power account.
They need to then follow the link, create an account and then deposit and stake at least £10 within 14 days of opening an account. Your friends’ qualifying bet must be at odds of 1/2 or greater and must be a single, double, treble or accumulator.
Lucky 15s and other multiple bets do not count. Free bets from sign up offers can not be used as a qualifying bet and cashed out or partially cashed out bets also won’t qualify.
You can refer up to 10 friends and claim a maximum of £500 in free bets each month. If you refer more than one friend a month then you’ll receive a free bonus bet as stated above.
The more people you refer the greater the free bet. For example for referring three friends in a single month you’ll receive 3 x £20 free bets along with a £10 bonus for the second and a £20 bonus for the third.
Free bets can be used on any sportsbook market, but must be used within seven days of being credited.
As with all free bet offers, free bet stakes will not be included in any potential winnings. In most cases free bets will be credited by 12pm the day after your friend has wagered £10 and met all other requirements.
Family members, I.e spouse, partner, parents or anyone else with the same surname, or persons living at the same postal address are excluded from the referral scheme.
Friends signing up via your unique link will be able to choose from a number of sign up offers.
What is Paddy Power Same Game Multi?
Same Game Multi gives you, the punter, the power to create unique bets by combing multiple selections on one game.
So there’s no need to speak to Paddy Power’s traders to get something priced up, instead choose and combine up to 20 related selections to create one mega bet from the standard markets available.
From correct score, first goal scorer, number of corners, player to be carded and more you can add most markets to your Same Game Multi.
Same Game Multi Example
So for example, if you fancy Liverpool to beat Tottenham in the Champions League final, Salah to score, Rose to be booked, over 3.5 goals and over 10.5 match corners you’ll be able to back all this as one big bet.
Simply add each selection to your bet slip like you would when placing an accumulator, then tap the Bet Slip button and see the returns.
If you’re happy then type in your stake and confirm your bet. Alternatively you can edit your bet by adding more or removing certain selections. Odds will be updated instantly so there’s no waiting around for a new price.
For your bet to win all selections must win. Void selections, for example if a player doesn’t take part in the game, will result in revised winnings. Same Game Multi bets can be cashed out providing all selections are eligible.
Paddy Power’s Same Game Multi bets are available on all Premier League, La Liga, Champions League, Europa League and Australian A League matches, so there’s plenty to have a crack at. This type of bet can also be backed in-Play on certain games.
What is #WhatOddsPaddy?
Similar to Paddy Power’s Same Game Multi Bet, #WhatOddsPaddy allows punters to back unique bets.
Either combining markets from a number of sports like Tiger Roll to win the Grand National and Tiger Woods to win the Masters, or combining multiple markets from the same sport like Salah, Sterling and Lacazette all to score over 10 Premier League goals this season.
Unlike Same Game Multi Bets, there are hundreds of #WhatOddsPaddy bets pre-built and ready to back straight away.
However if you can’t find a bet you’re looking for and need something pricing up then you can get in touch with the Paddy Power team via Twitter. Use the hashtag and type your request and they should get back to you with a price within a decent time.
#WhatOddsPaddy are available in-play and pre-match. They can be backed within each match market or head to the specific tab for all #WhatOddsPaddy bets.
What is Paddy Power Hotshots?
Free to play, Paddy Power Hotshots gives punters the chance to win huge money every week.
Participants must correctly select the first goal scorer in six selected games across one weekend or round of Champions League games. The win fund starts at £100,000 and is rolled over each round until somebody correctly predicts the first goal scorer in each of the six selected games. £25,000 will be added to the jackpot each week.
If more than one person correctly predicts all six first goal scorers then the jackpot will be equally split.
For each week the jackpot is not won there will be a consolation prize of £2,500 for the person with correctly guesses the highest number of first goal scorers.
If there are multiple participants with the same number of correct guesses then the consolation prize will be awarded to the person with the nearest prediction for the Hotshot Tiebreaker.
Paddy Power also give the top 10 participants in each round with a £25 free bet which can be used on all sportsbook markets.
Entry for each round closes five minutes before kick off and selections can not be changed once the closing time has passed.
What is Paddy Power Acca Insurance?
Picture this. It’s Saturday, you’ve placed a fivefold bet on the football, four selections cop, but one lets you down. Agony.
So close, yet so far. The four winning selections are irrelevant. But not with Paddy Power’s Acca Insurance.
If one leg or your acca including five teams or more lets you down then you’ll receive your money back as a free bet up to £20.
This promotion applies to all UK and European top leagues as well as Champions League and Europa League.
Free bets will be credited by 12pm the following day, must be used within seven days and can only be used on football markets.
As usual, free bet stakes are not included in any winnings.
Each selection in your original acca must be equal to or greater than odds of 1/5. In the rare occasion that a match is void and you’re left with less than five selections then your bet will no longer qualify for acca insurance.
What is Paddy Power 2 Up
With Paddy Power’s 2 Up promotion you’ll get paid out as a winner if your selection is leading by two goals at any point in the game no matter what the final result.
Take Ajax vs. Spurs for example. Paddy Power paid out on Ajax to win the game when they went 2-0 up in the first half despite going on to lose the game 3-2.
This promo refers to singles only on the win market and applies to all Premier League, La Liga and Champions League games. Winnings will be credited to your account within 30 minutes of your selection going two goals up. Cashed out bets will not qualify for this promotion and it doesn’t apply to the draw selection.
Giving punters more value on a day to day basis Paddy Power’s Power Prices are, basically, enhanced odds.
Power prices are available on most sports, and are typically enhanced pre-match trebles or doubles. There’s also a Racing Post daily NAP which is boosted. In-Play Power Prices are available on selected games.
Back a Power Price like you would a normal bet and you’ll receive the boosted odds.
There’s a dedicated Power Prices coupon, which is updated every day or Power Prices can be backed in specific match markets. Make sure you select the Power Price rather than the normal selection or else you won’t receive the enhanced price.
Best Price Guaranteed
Like most other reputable betting firms Paddy Power offer best odds guaranteed on all UK and Irish horse and greyhound racing.
Simply place a bet after 8am on the day of the race and take the price and should it win at a bigger starting price you’ll be paid out at the bigger odds.
Antepost bests and bets placed in-running do not qualify for this offer.
Paddy Power Mobile Betting App
Making betting on the go ten times easier the Paddy Power mobile app is available for all smartphone devices via the iOS and Android app stores.
Betting is completely seamless with all the same markets and perks of the Paddy Power website available in an easy to use, easy to access application.
Logging in can be done via your fingerprint ID and it takes a matter of seconds to deposit money and place a bet, perfect.
Most promotions and loyalty schemes can be used via the Paddy Power app so you won’t be missing out on any value.
