Norwich vs. Watford Odds: Canaries and Hornets do battle in Relegation 6 Pointer
Friday Night Football sees the Premier League’s bottom two clubs go head to head in a relegation six pointer.
Without a win since their shock victory over reining champions Manchester City in September Norwich seem to be going down without a fight. They’ve taken just one point from their last six games and have serious problems at both ends of the pitch.
A miss firing strike force and the second worst defence in the league leaves Daniel Farke with big, big problems. But if he can get Teemu Pukki scoring again then he’ll be half way there, kind of.
The Finland striker has six goals to his name so far this season, but finds himself in the middle of a lengthy drought having gone over 500 minutes without a Premier League goal.
He’s 6/5 to get back on track by scoring anytime.
For Watford, though, things are even worse.
Rock bottom with just five points from 11 games, they’re yet to win a league game this season and look lost for ideas in the final third failing to score in five of their last eight games in all competitions.
Captain Troy Deeney remains sidelined through injury and his loss has been a huge blow for the Hornets. Not only are they missing his goal threat, but his leadership and driving spirit has been a huge loss.
The sooner he returns the better.
Defensively Watford have been awful too, failing to keep a clean sheet away from home since February. Norwich are 19/5 to score over 2.5 goals and it’s 11/20 for both teams to score.
Watford’s top scorer this season is Roberto Pereyra with just two goals to his name, he’s 7/2 to score anytime and 10/1 to be the first goal scorer.
The last time these two sides met at Carrow Road the hosts bagged all three points with a 4-2 win. It’s 60/1 for the same scoreline this Friday, stranger things have happened.
With both sides in dire form there’s little to separate them in the betting. Norwich are 13/8 to bag all three points while Watford are 8/5 to secure their first league win of the season. The draw, which might be a shout, is 13/5.
