Norwich v Cardiff Form Guide
Daniel Farke’s men are in prime position to make an immediate return to the top-flight. They sit three points clear at the top after 19 games.
They have won 12 of those, drawing four and losing three. Norwich go into Saturday’s match with four victories in their last six league matches.
The Canaries are also on a four game winning run, with all four of those games ending 2-1. Having kicked off December with a shock 3-1 loss at Luton, they have bounced back to beat Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest and Blackburn.
And it was a similar story on Wednesday night, where they edged past Reading 2-1 at the Madejski Stadium.
Main men Emi Buendia and Teemu Pukki were on the scoresheet, with Michael Olise netting for the hosts.
It is, however, Cardiff who are the leading side form-wise in the last six Championship games. The Bluebirds have won five of those, losing the other one.
That loss came in the derby with Swansea last weekend, where Neil Harris’ men lost 2-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium.
But they have since recovered, overcoming Birmingham 3-2 on Wednesday evening. Marc Roberts and Ivan Sanchez scored for the visitors, but Robert Glatzel and Harry Wilson were also on the scoresheet as the game looked set to finish in a tie.
But up stepped Sean Morrison in the 89th minute to score his second goal in three games.
Harris’ outfit now sit 10th in the table, but could once again shoot up the current standings with a win this weekend.
Norwich v Cardiff Odds
They are currently 11/4 to do just that.
The hosts are available at 11/10 to clinch all three points.
And a draw is currently available at 5/2.
Norwich v Cardiff Prediction
The sides last met in a League Cup second round tie in 2018, with the Canaries coming out on top in a 3-1 win. With ten league goals to his name for the current campaign, Pukki can be backed at 4/1 to open the scoring.
Cardiff’s Kieffer Moore is available at 13/2 to score the first goal of the game.
This should be a potential classic with both sides in good form, however Norwich simply look the best bet at evens.
