Norwich City v Wigan Live Stream – What TV Channel is the game on?

Norwich City Championship

Norwich City pretty had the worst start to life in England’s second tier as the newly relegated side went down to a 1-0 defeat to Cardiff City.

Not only that the Canaries had their captain Grant Hanley sent off for two bookable offences in what was a pretty inept second half display.

Manager Dean Smith will be looking for the perfect response as they entertain Wigan at Carrow Road this afternoon.

Newly promoted from League One last season, Wigan started off their Championship campaign with a bad tempered 0-0 draw at home to Preston.

After a disappointing campaign which saw them finish last in the Premier League last season, Norwich opened their Championship campaign with a loss at Cardiff.

Dean Smith’s men will hope to bounce back from that loss as they play their first home game of the season; it’ll be interesting to see how they’ll fare with Teemu Pukki leading the charge.

Wigan, on the other hand, were the best team in League One last season; as a result, they earned a place in the Championship, after two seasons of absence.

Lean Richardson’s men kick-started their season with a goalless draw against Preston North End; they’ll fancy their chances of taking all three points against a struggling Norwich side.

Tip 1: Wigan or draw @ 6/5

Wigan have been a difficult team to beat; they have no losses in their last six games, with four wins and two draws.

Wigan’s run of form is due, in part, to their solid defense; they kept three clean sheets in that six-game stretch, allowing just three goals.

In contrast, Norwich have been going through a tough time recently; as they are coming off three consecutive losses.

Considering the form of both teams, we don’t think Norwich will win this match.

Tip 2: BTTS no @ 4/5

Our next prediction is on the BTTS market. We’ve mentioned that Norwich have lost three games in a row; we should also point out that they did not score a single goal in those games.

As a result of their lack of goals, Norwich’s matches are usually one-sided in goal scoring terms; at least one team blanked in seven of Norwich’s last eight games, including their last three.

In the same vein, we’ve pointed out that Wigan kept three clean sheets in their last six games, conceding just three goals; with this in mind, we believe that one of these teams will not score today.

Tip 3: Under 2.5 total goals @ 3/4

Norwich and Wigan have faced off many times, and those clashes usually don’t feature lots of goals; as a matter of fact, nine of the last 12 encounters between these teams went below the 2.5 goal line.

Additionally, Norwich’s most recent games have mostly been on the low-scoring side; as their last three games all went under 2.5.

For these reasons, our final pick for this match is under 2.5 total goals.
