Norwich and Coventry City will battle for three points at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon; both teams will meet for the first time this year, as the Canaries returned to the Championship after spending one season in the English top flight.
This has largely been a one-sided contest in recent years, as Norwich are unbeaten in the last seven encounters between these teams; will they extend that run here, or will Coventry finally put a stop to that streak?
Let’s take a look at both teams’ chances.

Norwich have gradually improved over the course of their season; they had a slow start to their campaign, winning just one of four games in all competitions, with a draw and two losses.
However, things have changed, as the Canaries won four of five games played since then.
It’s important to point out that Norwich have won all of their last four Championship games; and because of their fine form, Dean Smith’s men have gone all the way up to second on the table.
With that in mind, Josh Sargent is one of the major reasons for Norwich’s success; as he scored four of their nine goals in the Championship.
The American should be a handful for the opposition backline.
Norwich have just one less point than league leaders Sheffield United; they’ll hope to go further up the table by winning their fifth consecutive league match.
On the other hand, Coventry City have been going through a rough patch this summer; they are last on the Championship table, with just one point to their tally.
To be fair, Coventry City have played the fewest number of games in the Championship this season; they’ve played just four matches, three less than most teams.
This is because Coventry’s first three home games were put on ice due to the poor condition of their pitch.
Judging by their performance in the four games they’ve played however, we are not too impressed with the Sky Blues; as they have three losses and a draw in four league games.
We’ve mentioned that Norwich have no losses in the last seven meetings between these teams; they’ve won five of those clashes, including four of their last five.
From the look of things, Norwich have won four consecutive league games, while Coventry have lost four in a row, in all competitions.
At 3/4 odds, we believe the Canaries will win this match.
