Leicester born Mark Selby grinded out a 17-15 victory in his semi final match up as he overcame a spirited fightback by Northern Irishman Mark Allen.
Meanwhile Luca Brecel broke some Crucible records as he amazingly came back from 14-5 down to win 11 frames on the trot, eventually coming out as a winner over Chinese youngster Si Jiahui 17-15.
