Manchester Utd vs Man City Odds – Paddy Power completely free £5 bet to drum up new business
Manchester Utd take on Manchester City later this afternoon, with the Red Devils looking to put their midweek Champions League disappointment behind them.
In what was a disappointing end to their European hopes, the Reds were knocked out of the competition following a hap hazard 3-2 defeat away in Germany against RB Leipzig.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Champions League hopes may lay in tatters, but he will be looking to put things right today against the blue half of Manchester today.
There’s also plenty of opportunities for punters as Irish firm Paddy Power have announced that they are giving away a completely free £5 bet on the Manchester Derby

Although their European adventure is over, United can take some heart from the fact that their current form on the domestic front is pretty good. Its now four wins on the bounce in the Premier League for the Red Devils, their most recent win coming in a 3-2 away win in London against West Ham United.
The Reds seem to do much better away from Old Trafford, which is surprising considering the lack of crowd, and the side do struggle at Old Trafford, winning only once all season at home.
They will certainly have to up their game if they are to get anything out the game against Guardiola’s City side.
The Citizens have been relatively slow out of the blocks this season, struggling to find their form but there are signs that City are finding a rich seam of form. The blues have scored seven goals in their last two games, albeit against Fulham and Burnley – and they defensively things have shaped up at the back – haven’t conceded a single goal.
Betting wise, you’ll be surprised to see that Manchester United can be backed at a value looking 7/2 to take all three points at home. That price looks pretty fair all things considered. lets not forget that United are on a four game winning run.
City are the 4/5 favourites for this one but their away form has actually been quite patchy. Out of their 5 games played its 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss – nothing really to write home about, but the side are clearly playing better football at the moment.
The pressure is once again building up on Solskjaer and a loss against their Premier League title rivals to add to the midweek Champions League exit could really spice things up. United simply cannot afford to lose this one. Get on the one goal Manchester Utd handicap at 11/10. That means that if the match is a draw our bet will come in.
Once again it should be a pulsating affair with both these sides capable of putting on a show.
The match gets underway at 17:30 on Saturday 12th December.
