Liverpool odds to win title slashed after Man City win
Liverpool and Manchester City clashed on Sunday evening, in a fiery encounter that saw the Merseyside outfit win by a lone Mohammed Salah goal.
It was a must win game for Klopp and his Reds considering that Manchester City and Erling Haaland have been purring at the moment.
That win put Arsenal four points clear at the top of the Premier League table, with the Gunners a best price 5/1 to lift the Premier League trophy.
Liverpool Premier League odds slashed overnight
Liverpool’s odds have been slashed from 25/1 overnight and they are currently priced at 16/1 odds to hoist the title at the end of the season.
If Jürgen Klopp’s men intend to win the title this season, they’ll need to figure out how to win games on the road.
Liverpool’s Premier League campaign got off to a very slow start; they had no wins in their first three league games, with two draws and a loss.
The Reds have picked up some speed since then.
Klopp’s side have won three of the following six league matches, with two draws and a loss.
Its Liverpool’s away form which has been a source of worry and if Klopp can get the Reds firing away from Anfield then they should go close once more.
Liverpool have been one of the best home teams in the Premier League so far; they are unbeaten in five home matches this season, with three wins and two draws.
It’s been a different case however, as the Reds are winless in four road games, with two draws and two losses.
As it stands, Liverpool are eighth on the Premier League table, a massive 14 points behind league leaders Arsenal.
Unlike Liverpool, Manchester City have actually put up good results consistently this season; in fact, City’s loss at Anfield last weekend was their first in all competitions this campaign.
Pep Guardiola’s men are second on the league table, four points behind Arsenal; in spite of this however, the Citizens are massive favourites to win the title at the end of this campaign.
Interestingly, ‘Manchester City to win the Premier League’ pays at 3/10 odds; they can also be backed at 9/4 odds to ‘not win the title’ which looks the better bet.
Considering the Gunners have a healthy lead at the top of the table, the latter might be worth a punt.
