‘Trouble in Paradise?’ Pochettino looking for response as Tottenham face Leicester
Leicester welcome a wounded Tottenham Hotspur to the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino is under increasing pressure following Wednesday’s disappointing Champions League result. Spurs let a two goal lead slip at Olympiacos meaning it’s just one win in their last five games in all competitions.
And the Argentine didn’t hold back in his post match press conference openly slamming the Tottenham players.
Trouble in paradise? Perhaps. Cracks are starting to show following an indifferent start to the season.
As for Leicester, they’re absolutely rocking. Levels on points with Spurs after five games the Foxes will move up to second, for a few hours at least, with a win in Saturday’s early kick off.
Brendan Rodgers’ side suffered their first defeat of the season at old Trafford last weekend, but were unlucky not to take at least a point.
Jamie Vardy has three league goals to his name so far this season and has four goals in as many appearances against Spurs. He’s 13/10 to score anytime.
Of course Harry Kane will be Tottenham’s danger man. The England forward has four goals and one assist to his name already this season and he’s 15/4 to open the scoring.
Tottenham’s last three away games have finished 2-2 and it’s 12/1 for the same scoreline on Saturday.
Despite Tottenham’s poor run of form Poch will be confident of getting a result against the Foxes. He’s won four of his five Premier League encounters with Leicester.
Spurs, despite being the away side are 6/4 favourites while Leicester can be backed at 19/10.
The draw is an attractive looking 13/5.
