Juventus vs. Udinese : Turin champions ‘expected to reclaim top spot’ with win
Juventus host Udinese on Sunday (14:00 GMT) desperately needing to return to winning ways under Mauricio Sarri.
Having drawn at home to Sassuolo and lost at Lazio in their last two Serie A games, former manager Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan have leapfrogged Sarri’s side into top spot.
A win here would move Juventus back a point ahead of Inter, with the Nerazzurri heading to Fiorentina later on Sunday evening.
And the champions are strongly fancied to do so, with the bookmakers pricing a home win here at 1/5.
The draw is 11/2, with a Udinese win 14/1.
An away win would be an almighty shock indeed given that 16th-placed Udinese have earned just four points from seven games on the road this season.
That aforementioned 2-2 draw against Sassuolo was Juventus’ first dropped points of the season at the Juventus Stadium, meanwhile.
Moreover, they have won six of the last seven meetings between these two sides.
Cristiano Ronaldo will view this as a great opportunity to boost his goal tally, and the legendary forward is 8/13 to score anytime.
The Portugal captain is 12/1 to score a hat-trick; he could certainly do with one sooner or later if he is to have any chance of winning his first Capocanniere award since joining Juventus in 2018.
Lazio’s Ciro Immobile is already ten goals ahead of him in Serie A’s top-scorer battle an astonishing 17 goals in 15 games.
