What TV channel is the game on?
You can watch the Sunderland match on Sky Sports Football channel, who will be live broadcasting the match from Bramall Lane from the kick off time of 20:00 BST.
Sheffield United’s attack has been a major cause for concern this season; they’ve registered four shots on target or less in three of the four games they’ve played so far.
As a matter of fact, none of Sheffield United’s strikers have scored in the Championship this season; their midfielders scored three of their four goals so far, while the other was an own goal.
The Blades are now ninth on the Championship table, with one win, one draw and one loss; they’ll need their strikers to be more efficient if they intend to go up the table.
Sunderland are coming off a heartbreaking 2:2 draw against Queens Park Rangers; despite leading by two goals at the 85th minute, the Black Cats conceded two late goals to end the game.
It’s fair to point out that Sunderland are unbeaten in the Championship so far; they are sixth on the table, with a win and two draws from three matches.
Sunderland will be without new signing Daniel Ballard due to an ankle injury; as the former Arsenal prospect had to be helped off within the first 10 minutes of their clash against QPR.
The Tyneside outfit have no other injury concerns besides Ballard. On the other hand, Sheffield United have a few absentees ahead of this match; this list includes Enda Stevens, Chris Basham, Jack Robinson, Adam Davies, Jayden Bogle and Jack O’Connell.
Considering Sheffield United’s recent struggles in front of goal, we would like to point out that they’ve been involved in a lot of low-scoring games; at least one side blanked in five of the Blades’ last seven games, with three of their last four games going under 2.5. In like manner, Sunderland have had their fair share of low-scoring matches; 11 of their last 14 games across all competitions saw less than three goals scored.
With the odds priced at 7/10, we believe that this match will go under 2.5.
It’s important to note that Sheffield United suffered three losses in their last five games, winning just one of those games; Sunderland, on the other hand, lost just one of their last five matches.
At 21/20 odds, there’s a lot of value in backing the Black Cats to win or draw.
