I’m A Celebrity 2019: Myles Stephenson ‘heavy odds-on favourite’ to be sixth eliminated
For the third successive episode, the bookmakers’ odds proved correct as Ian Wright became the fifth celebrity to leave this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
The former footballer had originally entered camp as the bookmakers’ favourite to win the show, but a number of hunger induced outbursts during his two-and-a-half weeks in camp clearly did little to endear himself to the public.
Roman Kemp and Caitlyn Jenner, meanwhile, were the last two celebrities yet to perform a voluntary Bushtucker Trial.
They were duly handed one named ‘Slop of the Pops’ on Wednesday night’s episode.
Understandably, some of the camp feared they may be going hungry after Jenner had admitted on Tuesday night’s show that she didn’t even know any of her famous son-in-law Kanye West’s songs.
“You can deal with the Pops. I’m good with Slop,” she hilariously told radio presenter Kemp.
Each armed with a large microphone whilst lying on their backs on top of a giant turntable, the unlikely duo had to smash open six huge disco-ball shaped pinatas to claim eight stars for camp.
Of course, being the jungle, it was never going to be quite that straightforward.
In possibly the most vile Bushtucker Trial so far this year, they were covered in a series of song-themed stench.
‘If I Could Turn Back Slime’, ‘Liver On A Prayer’, ‘Big For Your Fruits’, ‘First Gut Is The Deepest’, ‘Meat Caroline’ and ‘Rotten Eye Joe’ were the tracks on ‘Ant and Decks” cleverly titled playlist.
You can guess some of the treats they had in store!
By the end, the initially vacant turntable resembled more of a giant blender, with Kemp and Jenner absolutely covered in critters and fluids.
After a quick shower, Jenner still found time to provide yet more TV gold by opening up on the infamous murder trial of former American football star OJ Simpson in 1996, which she found herself caught in the middle of at the time.
Simpson’s attorney, Robert Kardashian, was Jenner’s ex-wife’s ex-husband.
Without necessarily saying it outright, Jenner made it clear that she believed Simpson was probably guilty of murdering his wife, despite being found not guilty.
“Just because you’re found not guilty doesn’t mean you didn’t do it,” she told Kate Garraway and Jacqueline Jossa.
Despite providing plenty of the more memorable scenes of this year’s series, Jenner finds herself as second-favourite to leave on Thursday night’s show, at 4/1.
Clearly, though, the bookmakers feel confident it will be singer Myles Stephenson who is given his marching orders.
The Rak-Su star is as short as 2/7 to leave tonight, and I wouldn’t be betting against it given the bookmakers’ current streak!
