Coventry City’s top goalscorer Viktor Gyokeres had very few chances in the first leg, with Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick commenting:

“We (Middlesbrough) looked after their front line pretty well – which is not easy. We’ll have to do that again because they’re good players.”

The Boro have a few injuries coming into this one with Welsh International Aaron Ramsey an injury doubt.

“We’ll have to wait and see (on Aaron Ramsey). He was with the group today, I think we brought everyone. Jonny [Howson] was here, Jonny wasn’t fit for today.

“Darnell [Fisher] was here, so it was the whole squad. It’s not about who’s close or not, we wanted to keep everyone together as much as we could”
