Things have not gone too well for Everton lately; they are coming off back-to-back losses against Manchester City and Southampton, and they’ve lost four of their last six games. The Toffees defeated Hull City and Brentford in order to get to the fifth round of the FA Cup; they’ll hope to get past Boreham Wood today.

Boreham Wood have been one of the best teams in the National League this season; they are on course for promotion to League Two next season. Boreham Wood played all four rounds of the FA Cup so far, defeating teams like Bournemouth and Wimbledon; will they be able to knock out a Premier League team?

Live coverage of Everton v Boreham Wood options

Boreham Wood have had a fairly decent run of form over the past couple of months; they’ve won five of their last eight games, with a draw and two losses. It’s worth noting that Boreham Wood have been a difficult team to beat; they’ve lost just twice in their last 22 games in all competitions, with 15 wins and five draws.

The problem is, Boreham Wood will be taking on a team that’s four tiers ahead of them; while they play in the National League, their opponents play in the Premier League. However, Everton have been going through a rough patch lately; they’ve won just two of their last 11 games at the end of regulation time. Considering both teams’ form, we don’t think Everton will win this game by more than a two-goal margin.

Everton v Boreham Wood commentary options

Everton have struggled to find the back of the net recently; they failed to score in their last two games. Everton’s games have mostly been one-sided when it comes to goals, especially recently; at least one side blanked in all of Everton’s last three games.

In the same vein, Boreham Wood have kept a lot of clean sheets recently; they kept three clean sheets in their last four games. Additionally, we would like to point out that Boreham Wood’s games have not produced a lot of goals; at least one team failed to score in all of Boreham Wood’s last six games. With This in mind, at least one of these teams should keep a clean sheet.

Highlights of the Everton v Boreham Wood FA Cup tie

The highlights of the Everton vs Boreham Wood match can be accessed on YouTube or Match of the Day on the BBC in the United Kingdom. The official channel of the FA Cup will be the destination for these highlights.

The FA Cup channel also uploads the full game replays within a few days after the game completion.

We’ve mentioned that Boreham Wood did not concede in three of their last four games; we should also point out that they conceded just two goals in that four game stretch. Conversely, Boreham Wood have not been a high-scoring team; they scored just three goals in those four games. As a result, Boreham Wood’s games tend to be on the low-scoring side; their last four, and 11 of their last 13 games went below the 2.5 goal margin. Considering Everton did not score in their last two games, we shouldn’t expect too many goals here; on that note, we’re going with the safer option of under 3.5 total goals.
