After narrowly missing out on a possible return to the top-flight last season, the Swans have made a strong start to the new campaign.

Cardiff vs Swansea Form Guide

They sit fourth in the current standings, with 30 points from their 17 matches. They go into the weekend just a point behind second-placed Bournemouth, and four points behind leaders Norwich.

And that is largely thanks to a strong run of form in recent weeks. Steve Cooper’s men have three wins, two draws and just one loss in their last six games.

They have also kept a clean sheet in their last two, beating Luton 2-0 on Saturday before a goalless draw at home to Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.

Cardiff, however, are the most in-form team in the entire division. Guided by Neil Harris, they have climbed to ninth in the table.

The Bluebirds boast four wins, one draw and one loss in their previous six. They’ve scored 11 goals and conceded just three.

Having lost to Coventry towards the end of November, Cardiff have completely turned things around. They are now on a four-game winning streak, which started with a 4-0 defeat of Luton.

Impressive victories against Huddersfield and Watford followed, before a comeback win at Stoke on Tuesday night.

A Sean Morrison own goal put the hosts ahead, with Robert Glatzel levelling the scores in the second half. Morrison then turned from villain to hero with the winner ten minutes later.

Both points and pride will be on the line in Saturday’s clash.

Cardiff v Swansea Betting Odds

The Bluebirds can be backed at 19/12 to come out on top.

The visitors have been given odds of 21/10 to leave with all three points.

And a draw is currently available at 9/4.

Cardiff v Swansea Prediction

There was very little to separate these two sides last season, with the Swans just about taking the bragging rights at the Liberty Stadium.

They won that meeting 1-0, with the reverse fixture ending in a goalless draw.

With eight goals for the season, Cardiff striker Kieffer Moore has been given odds of 5/1 to open the scoring.

This looks like it could be another low scoring affair, and both managers should be happy with a point. The Swans have the best defensive record in the Championship at the moment.

Back the 0-0 draw at 7/1
