It’s the manager’s first full season at the club, having taken over from Unai Emery in December. He has already secured two trophies in his brief spell at the Emirates, winning both the FA Cup and the Community Shield.
And the match also sees the return of Scott Parker to the top-flight. The former midfielder played for several clubs in the Premier League, including Chelsea, West Ham, and Tottenham Hotspur.
He is now in the dugout at Fulham, having played for the club for four years before making the move into management.
As ever with the opening weekend of action, anything can happen. The Gunners will certainly be looking to get off to a winning start, while newly-promoted Fulham will be keen to cause an early upset.
It’s currently 5/1 for a home victory, with an Arsenal win available at 8/15.
A draw between the pair can be backed at 16/5.
Both teams to score meanwhile has been given odds of 10/3.
The sides last met in the 2018/19 top-flight campaign, when Fulham suffered relegation to the Championship.
The Gunners came out on top on both occasions, winning 5-1 in west London before a 4-1 rout in north London.
Forwards Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette netted braces in that first victory, with the pair both finding the net again the second time around.
They look set to feature again, with their presence certainly a worrying sight for the Fulham defence.
Aubameyang is currently 5/2 to net the first goal of the game.
His fellow striker Lacazette is available at 10/3.
Other players looking to make their mark under Arteta include Eddie Nketiah and Nicolas Pepe, and they can be backed at 9/2 and 5/1 respectively to net the opener on Saturday.
The hosts do, however, have their own secret weapon in Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Serbian finished as the Championship’s top goalscorer last season with 26, and he will be eager to prove himself on his return to the Premier League.
Mitrovic is currently 7/1 to score the first goal of the game, and 21/10 to net anytime throughout the 90 minutes.
