Chelsea
Exodus continues at Chelsea but winger is likely to stay
Chelsea have made only one significant signing in the transfer window so far in Romelu Lukaku. However, the club board has been rather busy through the window – in shifting fringe players.
According to the latest reports, even more players are on their way out from the West London club.
Davide Zappacosta transfer Chelsea
Italian full-back Davide Zappacosta is the first name on the list. The Italian full-back is generating a lot of interest in Serie A. According to Italian football journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Fiorentina and Atalanta are currently battling it out for his services.
Zappacosta joined Chelsea from Torino, in 2017, for €28 million plus bonuses. He managed only 26 league appearances for the Blues and spent the last season on loan with Genoa.
Another Chelsea player that might be heading back to Italy is Tiemoue Bakayoko. According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan and Chelsea are currently engaged in talks over a permanent transfer for the French midfielder. Bakayoko joined Chelsea from Monaco in 2017 for £40 million. After having won the Ligue 1 title with Monaco in 2016-17, he arrived at Stamford Bridge with a lot of expectations. However, he could manage only 29 league appearances for Chelsea in 17-18. He has spent the last three seasons on different loan spells.

The 27-year-old spent the 2018-19 season on loan with Milan. Last season, he was on loan at another Serie A side, Napoli. The Naples side and Ligue 1 side Lyon are also said to be interested in signing Bakayoko.
Lyon are also in talks over a move for Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri, according to Sky Sports. The Italian finds himself behind the likes of Ben Chillwell and Marcos Alonso in the pecking order at Chelsea.
Emerson joined the Blues in a £17.6m move from AS Roma in January 2018. He has managed just 32 league appearances over four seasons in West London. The 27-year-old was also a part of the Euro Cup-winning Italian squad during the summer.
The one player that won’t be leaving the Blues this summer is Hakim Ziyech. The Morrocco international has been linked with an exit this summer, with AC Milan one of the clubs interested. However, according to Italian publication CalcioMercato, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants to keep the winger at the club, and he has put an end to any potential move.
