‘Everton Woes to Continue’ – Manchester City almost unbackable as Pep arrives at Goodison Park
Manchester City will be looking to match, or even perhaps somehow better, their 8-0 win over Watford last weekend. They travel to Goodison Park, to face an Everton side with a manager under pressure, on Saturday evening.
Marco Silva is the favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked, with the odds for the Toffees boss’ departure at 7/4.
Bernardo Silva bagged his first ever hat trick against Watford. The Portuguese winger is 7/1 to score two or more again.
Though Everton beat Pep Guardiola’s side 4-0 in January 2017, they have only won one in twelve against the Citizens.
Sergio Aguero is also the league’s top-scorer with eight goals so far. The odds are 10/11 for a City win and Aguero to net anytime.
City’s pace, movement and directiveness will prove to be too much for this Everton side. Once upon a time, they would have given a good fight but you cannot look past an away win.
And it could be a heavy win that. It is 15/8 for City to win by three goals or more.
Moise Kean, the nineteen-year-old striker bought acquired from Juventus in the Summer, is yet to find the net for Everton. What a chance it would be for him to break his hoodoo hear though.
The Italian is 3/1 to score past a City defence missing John Stones and Aymeric Laporte.
A City win looks inevitable and would pile a lot of pressure on Marco Silva. If the score line is embarrassing, this fixture could even end up being the decisive point that leads to the manager leaving the club.
The quickest goal scorers in the Premier League this season, it is 2/1 for most of the goals to be scored in the first half, as City look to reduce the five-point gap established by Liverpool at the top of the table.
