Like all major sporting events, Euro 2020 has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
But UEFA have already set a date for the tournament, pushing it back until next summer.
It certainly gives all involved the necessary time to prepare. And it also provides both managers and players with the chance to do all they can in the build up to June 2021.
One boss who certainly has a big decision to make is England manager Gareth Southgate. The former defender must make plenty of choices in the coming months.
And while his squad for this summer may have been set, it’s now very possible that several changes will roll in given the circumstances.
Southgate faces a dilemma in between the posts, at the back and going forward, but who will he choose to control the centre of the pitch?
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson will undoubtedly play a key role for Southgate. Having led the Reds to 2019 Champions League success, the central midfielder is perhaps the first name in Southgate’s midfield.
Henderson is currently 1/16 to make the squad.
And aside from Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli at 1/8, it could be a very tough decision for the manager when considering who else to select.
There will be several young stars vying for the all-important places in the squad. The likes of Jack Grealish, James Maddison and Mason Mount will all certainly have their eyes firmly focused on a starting role come next summer.
Maddison is currently 1/6 to make the cut, with Grealish available at 1/2. Chelsea’s Mount is currently 8/11.
Other midfielders aiming to get the call up include Declan Rice and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Both are available at 1/6.
It’s 11/8 for Spurs midfielder Harry Winks, and 6/4 for young duo Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Phil Foden.
Chelsea’s Ross Barkley is available at 2/1. And it’s 3/1 for Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips to get a surprise call-up to international duty.
Both Fabian Delph and James Ward-Prowse are currently 6/1, with Norwich star Todd Cantwell currently 8/1.
It’s 10/1 for Jarrod Bowen and Eric Dier, and 12/1 for Burnley winger Dwight McNeil.
Jesse Lingard and Nathaniel Chalobah are 16/1, while Birmingham youngster Jude Bellingham can be backed at 20/1.
West Ham’s Michail Antonio and Liverpool’s Adam Lallana are both 25/1. And it’s 33/1 for Southgate to call upon Joe Willock, Hamza Choudhury or Tom Davies.
