A four nil hammering in the Carabao Cup midweek will have done nothing to inspire confidence in Nottingham Forest side, and a a dismal showing in the loss to Stoke last week, with the side only securing two shots in the whole match, shows the need for an improvement in performances.
Derby themselves are not having the best of times on or off the pitch but a return of five points from their four games played is something to build on for Wayne Rooney’s side. Defensively the Rams look pretty solid, conceding only three goals so far this season and putting in a good performance in the 0-0 draw against Middlesbrough last week.
Again, goals are proving hard to come by with the side only finding the net three times this season.
There may be some value in backing the home win today at 11/8, considering just how woeful Nottingham Forest have been so far this season. Chris Hughton’s side can be backed at 11/5 to take all three points back to the City Ground.
The draw is available at 2/1, although a better bet may be to go for the under 2.5 goals scored in the game at 1/2.
