Czech Republic vs. England – Three Lions odds on to make it five wins from five
England have made a perfect start to qualification with four wins from four and Gareth Southgate’s side know victories over Czech Republic and Bulgaria will secure their spot at Euro 2020.
The Three Lions have netted 19 goals in four games and are in pole position to secure top spot in Group A. Only Kosovo have provided Southgate’s side with any sort of test to date. Last month’s eight goal thriller at Wembley, which saw the group’s surprise package bag three goals, yet again highlighted England’s defensive frailties.
Dele Alli and Jesse Lingard are the most notable absentees from the England squad. While Chelsea duo Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham will be hoping to receive their first competitive Three Lions senior cap. Abraham has been in excellent form for Chelsea and it would be a huge surprise if the Premier League’s joint top scorer doesn’t feature in the Czech Republic at some point.
Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho were all on the scoresheet last time out and the trio are expected to start Friday night. Kane is 3/1 to open the scoring, while Sterling and Sancho are 6/4 and 12/5 respectively to score anytime.
Whataretheodds spokesman Spencer James believes it would be a huge shock if neither Kane, Sterling or Sancho are on the scoresheet, adding:
All three have been in ridiculous form and, on their day, are one of the best strike forces in international football.
The hosts, with Kosovo hot on their heels, sit three points behind England having played a game more and know they need a result to keep qualification in their own hands.
England dominated in the reverse fixture at Wembley winning 5-0 and it’s 45/1 for a repeat scoreline.
Czech Republic are as big as 7/1 to bag all three points, the draw is 4/1 and Gareth Southgate’s side are as short as 4/9 to maintain their perfect record.
