Its been a difficult few months for both these sides with the much fancied pre season favourites Middlesbrough having a tricky start to life under manager Chris Wilder.
The Boro have only won twice all season and things certainly have to improve or the pressure on Wilder will certainly start to build.

Coventry City played out a goalless draw at Birmingham last time out; despite finishing with 10 men, Mark Robins’ men were able to hold on for a point.
The Sky Blues have been by far the worst team in the Championship this season; they are last on the league table, the only winless team so far, with three points from seven league matches.
To be fair, Coventry have played fewer games than everyone else, as their first three home games were postponed due to poor pitch conditions.

Also, it can be said that Coventry have improved a bit; they are coming off back-to-back draws, having lost five consecutive matches before that.
As Coventry City take on Middlesbrough, Mark Robins’ men will set their sights on their first win of the season.
Like Coventry City, Middlesbrough are coming off a goalless draw; they dominated Rotherham in their previous match, allowing no shots on goal, but were unable to find the net.
Boro have mostly struggled for wins this season; they’ve played 11 games in all competitions so far, and won just two of them.
Middlesbrough’s wins came at home and Chris Wilder’s men are winless in four games away from home, with a draw and three losses.
As it stands, Middlesbrough are 22nd on the 24 team table; they’ve accumulated 10 points from 10 league games.
The Boro will be hunting for their first away win of the season, and they’ll fancy their chances against a struggling Coventry side.
Coventry have been one of the lowest-scoring sides in the Championship; they failed to score in three of their last four matches, only one team has scored fewer goals than Coventry this season.
Likewise, Middlesbrough have not exactly been a high-scoring side, especially on the road; they found the net just five times in four games away from home.
This looks like a pressure game for both these sides and Coventry and Middlesbrough will simply not want to lose this one.
Back the draw at 5/2.
