There’s just over a week to go until this year’s official Christmas number one will be revealed, so we thought we’d take a look at the updated betting which includes some big names.

Leading the market at 5/4 is YouTube sensation LadBaby, who of course scored last year’s Christmas Number 1 with his sausage roll themed rendition of Starship’s We Built This City.

A year on and he’s back with another pastry banger with “I Love Sausage Rolls”, his own take on Joan Jett’s I Love Rock’n’Roll. All proceeds raised will go to the foodbank charity The Trussell Trust, respect.

Next in the betting is the inspirational six year old Lyra Cole. She’s taking the internet by storm with her rendition of “When a Child Was Born”.

After surviving a brain tumour at just five months old Lyra took to YouTube and the internet to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. She’s 5/1 to top claim a shock Christmas Number 1.

Tones & I currently tops the charts with her track Dance Monkey and the Australian is 7/1 to stay there over Christmas.

Stormzy headlined Glasto in the summer and he’ll be hoping to end the year on a high with a Christmas Number 1. His latest track Own It is currently 3rd in the charts, he’s 9/1 to grab top spot.

Lewis Capaldi has enjoyed a massive year and the witty Scot is 14/1 to bag his first Christmas Number 1. His track Before You Go is currently second in the charts.

With Christmas Mariah Carey is never too far away and she’s with 25/1 to bag top spot. While WHAM are 20/1 to finally bag an Xmas number one.

Away from the usual suspect there’s a few unlikely contenders like Tyson Fury. Yep, the heavyweight boxer has recorded a duet with icon Robbie Williams and the pair are 33/1 to do the unthinkable. Stranger things have happened.

Then there’s Chris Kamara. But in all honesty his hopes of achieving a Christmas number 1 look slim. The former footballer now turned pundit is 80/1 to clinch top spot. Stick to footy Kammy lad.
