Remarkably, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard comes into today’s game on the back of a bit of pressure, with his Chelsea side now going seven games without a win.

Despite a blistering start in the Premier League, the Blues have now lost two of their last three domestically, and were taught a lesson against Manchester City last time out, going down 3-1 at Stamford Bridge.

There’s no doubt that Lampard will not want any further losses and a win today is certain to boost confidence despite Chelsea’s opponents Morecambe, who currently lie in the play off places in League Two.

Morecambe themselves are on the back of a decent run of form, winning their last four games in League Two, and ‘The Shrimper’s’ come into this game fresh, having last played on Boxing Day.

As with many of these matchups, the side has nothing to lose and will come into this game looking for the cup upset.

Lampard is sure to ring the changes for this one, with Kepa and Kai Havertz likely to come in to the starting line up, while Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud should also be included in the starting eleven having been benched against Manchester City.
