Cardiff City and Burnley will face off at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

This will be the first meeting between these teams in three years, and their first in the Championship since the 2015/16 season.

Burnley have no losses in the last five clashes between these teams, and they’ll look to extend that run today.

Which of these teams will come out on top today? Let’s take a look at both teams’ chances.

Cardiff City fell to Huddersfield Town by a lone goal in their previous match; despite having two-thirds of the possession, the Welsh outfit were unable to find the net.

On the field, Cardiff have been going through a tough patch these past few months; they’ve lost three of their last four games, and have won just one of their last seven matches.

The Bluebirds have not been consistent in goalscoring terms; as they failed to score in five of their last seven games.

Due to their poor run of form, Cardiff find themselves in 18th place; they have 11 points from 10 league matches.

Burnley on the other hand, are coming off a hard-fought 2:1 victory over Bristol City; they were the dominant side in that match, keeping 78 percent of the ball.

Burnley have enjoyed some fine form these past few weeks; as they are unbeaten in their last eight matches across all competitions, with four wins and four draws.

Additionally, Burnley have been one of the toughest teams to beat in the Championship; as Vincent Kompany’s men lost just one of 13 games they’ve played since the start of the summer.

Despite losing just once however, the Clarets are fourth on the Championship table; this is because they’ve drawn five of 10 league matches this season.

Burnley will look to extend their unbeaten run to nine games today.

Cardiff City have lost three of their last four games; they’ve struggled in front of goal lately, blanking in five of their last seven matches so Burnley will be eying the away win today.

Kompany’s Burnley side that lost just once in their last 13 matches; they have four wins in their last six games, and are unbeaten in their last five encounters with Cardiff.

The 6/4 on the away win looks certainly worthy of our money today.

The action gets underway at City of Cardiff Stadium at 15:00 BST.
