Aston Villa begin their League Cup journey with a trip to League One Burton Albion, with the sides meeting under the lights at Pirelli Stadium this evening.
The match is also Villa’s first competitive game of the new season, with the club hoping to get through this second round tie with little difficulty.

New £28million man Ollie Watkins, signed from Brentford may want to get off the mark in this one.
Dean Smith’s side were due to face Manchester City on Saturday, but the match was postponed to allow the latter extra time to recover after their Champions League campaign.
They have, however, at least enjoyed one outing in their preparation for the new season.
Goals from Ally Samatta, Trezeguet, Ezri Konsa and a brace from Anwar El Ghazi saw the Premier League outfit defeat Wycombe 5-2 in a pre-season friendly last month.
But the Villans come up against a Burton side who have seen plenty of action in recent weeks.
Jake Buxton’s side won, lost and drew their three pre-season friendly fixtures against Stoke, Coventry and Walsall respectively, before turning their attention to competitive action.
The important fixtures began with a 4-2 penalty shootout victory over Accrington Stanley in the League Cup first round.
That was followed by a 5-4 penalty shootout loss to Peterborough in the Football League Trophy group stage.
Burton then kicked their League One campaign off on Saturday at Fleetwood, but it was Joey Barton’s men who came out on top, winning the game 2-1.
But both Burton and Villa now turn their thoughts to Tuesday evening’s encounter.
It’s currently 5/1 for the hosts to come out on top, with the away side available at 1/2.
A draw can be backed at 10/3.
The sides certainly have recent history, having met at the same stage of the competition two years ago.
Burton’s Liam Boyce got the only goal of the game back then to knock Villa out of the tournament.
Another 1-0 victory for the Brewers has been given odds of 14/1.
The likes of Kane Hemmings and Lucas Akins will be eager to follow in Boyce’s footsteps to cause an upset.
They are available at 9/1 and 10/1 respectively to score the first goal of the game.
But Villa’s quality could show on the night, with captain Jack Grealish and new arrival Ollie Watkins keen to get their seasons up and running with a goal.
Grealish can be backed at 6/1 to score first, with Watkins currently available at 9/2.
