Burnley will look to continue their winning start to life in the Championship by taking on Luton Town at Turf Moor.

Vincent Kompany’s side beat Huddersfield Town in the season opener 1-0 thanks to a goal from young defender Ian Maatsen, and the Clarets will be looking to heap more misery on Huddersfield this afternoon.

Luton Town opened their account with a 0-0 draw with Birmingham City in their opener at Kenilworth Road.

Burnley accumulated just one point from their final four games of last season, and as a result, they fell into the relegation zone.

The Clarets have looked good since they hired Vincent Kompany this summer, with three wins in as many games; they’ll look to maintain their perfect record under the Belgian with yet another win.

Luton Town’s unbeaten run continued with a goalless draw in their opening league match; they have no losses in their last six games, with four wins and two draws.

Nathan Jones’s men will hope to extend that streak to seven games today; it’ll be interesting to see how they’ll match-up against an in-form Burnley side.

Tip 1: Draw @ 5/2

Burnley recruited Vincent Kompany after their disappointing Premier League campaign last season; they’ve played three games under him, and won all three.

As a matter of fact, the Clarets conceded just one goal in three games with Kompany at the helm.

Luton Town, on the other hand, have been a difficult nut to crack; they are unbeaten in their last six games across all competitions, with four wins and two draws. Like Burnley, Luton Town conceded once in their last three games.

This will be the first meeting between these sides since 2006; considering both teams have enjoyed some fine form recently, we believe their respective unbeaten runs will continue with a draw.

Tip 2: BTTS yes @ 17/20

To be fair, both teams have not conceded many goals recently; we’ve already established that these teams conceded just once in their last three respective games.

However, it’s also worth noting that both teams have been consistent when it comes to finding the net; Burnley scored in 10 of their last 11 games, while Luton Town bagged 10 goals in their last six games.

Moreover, both teams were on the score sheet in five of Burnley’s last eight, and three of Luton’s last 3 matches the both teams to score market has come in.

We’re happy that there’s a good chance that Burnley and Luton should find the back of the net today so the 17/20 on BTTS is the call in this market.

Tip 3: Under 2.5 total goals @ 3/4

Although both teams have consistently scored goals the past couple of months, their matches have mostly been low-scoring.

In fact, four of Burnley’s last six games saw less than three goals scored, with three of those games going under 1.5. Similarly, Luton’s last three, and six of their last nine games went under 2.5.

All things considered, Burnley vs Luton will likely be a low-scoring affair so we’re happy to back the under 2.5 goals at Turf Moor this afternoon.
