Burnley v Brentford Live Streaming – Watch in play from Turf Moor

Published

Burnley are desperate for three points today as Thomas Frank’s Brentford FC come to Turf Moor.

Burnley are yet to win a match in the Premier League this season, drawing four and losing five. The Clarets do generally start the season quite slowly but this has been the worst start to a top-flight campaign since gaining promotion back to it in 2016.

It has been a difficult period for Sean Dyche, watching his team play well in most matches with very little purchase at the end of them. One clean sheet in eight league matches is a statistic indicative of a team that is giving themselves a little too much to do at the other end of the pitch

Brentford, by contrast, have been flying high from the start.

Their 2-0 opening night win against Arsenal was backed up by some more excellent performances. They have won three, drawn three and lost three, but their performances in almost all of their games have been exemplary.

A return to winning ways will be important for Thomas Frank, however, given that his team are coming off the back of two successive league defeats.

Dyche will almost have a full rosta to choose from at the weekend. Dale Stephens is still stepping up his comeback and Wayne Hennessey is also out but, other than that, everybody else is in convention to feature.

Connor Roberts put in a solid display against Tottenham in the cup but it’s expected that Matt Lowton will retain his place in the starting eleven.

Brentford were rocked by the news that goalkeeper David Raya will be missing for as long as five months after picking up an injury against Leicester City, allowing Alvaro Fernandez to come in for his Premier League debut.

Bryan Mbeumo has been struggling with a niggle and it’s unlikely that he will make the trip to East Lancashire.

Yoane Wissa, Vitaly Janelt, Mads Bech Sorensen and Joshua Da Silva are probably out while Ethan Pinnock and Shandon Baptiste might not make the cut, either.

Burnley v Brentford Match Odds

Burnley are 8/5 to win the game, Brentford are 7/4 to take maximum points while the draw is 5/2.

Burnley v Brentford Live Streaming Match Prediction

Burnley’s match against Tottenham illustrated their struggle to break down a stern defence and, with that in mind, Brentford could be a tough match.

However, the injury to Raya is a big blow for the Bees. Not only is he an excellent shot stopper, he also sets the tone with his outstanding distribution from the back.

This will give Burnley encouragement that they can go and take their first win. A return to the starting eleven for the enigmatic Maxwel Cornet will massively help to boost their chances.

It should be a good game, though, because Brentford are a wonderful footballing team.

Prediction: Burnley 2-1 Brentford.
