Burnley v Bournemouth Odds – FA Cup Quarter Finals beckon for Dyche’s side
Burnley take on Bournemouth in the the fifth round of the FA Cup from Turf Moor tonight, with the winners looking to progress to the quarter finals. Kick off time for this one is 17:30.
Burnley
Burnley come into the match looking for a little more consistency in their performances, with the side still teetering on the edges of Premier League relegation.
The Clarets come into the match on the back of two defeats to Chelsea and Manchester City, no surprises there, however Dyche’s men laboured to a 1-1 draw with another struggling side Brighton, and are now only one place above Fulham who occupy the final relegation place in the table.
Burnley are one of those sides who pundits always comment “they’ve too much quality to go down” however even with an eight point advantage over the Cottagers the relegation trapdoor is looming over their shoulder.
Bournemouth
Championship side Bournemouth have had a turbulent few weeks, and are now currently manager less. Jonathan Woodgate has been brought in to steady the ship, as caretaker manager however the arrival of the ex Boro man will have done little to uplift spirits.
Woodgate has promised plenty during his managerial career thus far but as of yet has failed to achieve any success.
An FA Cup quarter final may improve confidence amongst the club however, although they face a tough ask having won only once in their last six games on the road.
Burnley v Bournemouth Odds – Home side look value
Bookmakers have priced up the home win for Premier League side Burnley at 5/4 – a price which immediately jumps off the coupon.
The draw is available at 11/5 whilst the Bournemouth away win is priced at 2/1.
This should be a gritty affair, which is to be expected with a Sean Dyche side, but its ultimately one where the home side should prevail.
5/4 on a Premier League outfit to beat a struggling Championship side? Its Burnley all day long.
